Does Alabama have enough to match a $10 mil/yr salary?
Yes. Let's just say Texas makes him an offer for 10 million. And Saban was seriously considering it. Honestly, how long did is take for a few Tuscaloosa businessmen to say "Coach, is there something you need here?"

Looks a lot better than when he wore that purple tie and Tiders had a stroke in their pants

Serious question, not a flame: why could Texas have almost any coach, but not Saban?
I dk, that's just what he said. I think it's a combination of things. For starters, I think Saban will retire in a short few years anyway. Secondly, Terry really likes it down there, apparently. Thirdly, I know Texas has more money, but I think BAMA would do just about everything financially possible to keep Saban.

Miles would be crazy to leave LSU in my opinion. Why deal with Texas when he's showing you can win just as big at LSU?
Why is that? Miles has proven he could continue with the recruiting success that Texas has...and he is a good gameday coach...it would be much easier to win in the Big 12 or whatever...imo
Not saying I think he would even consider it...but to say he would be crazy is a little far fetched to me...

IF thats really UT's offer, the rest of the NCAA should band together and never play them in any sport. That would ruin college athletics.

I think they play on turf. That will need to be changed.

Les Miles has proven he can dominate OU. That's got to be attractive from a Texas perspective, LOL

Many in academic circles at Texas already have major issues with Brown's salary. I couldn't wait to see the shite storm if they try to throw 10 million a year at a coach.

That would ruin college athletics.

He then went on to say if Mack Brown were to retire, they would probably go after Chris Peterson, or Les Miles.

at this point in Saban's career, he's got all the financial security he and his family needs and Alabama has been very generous. UTx may have money, but not enough to lure away Nick. he'll retire in Tuscaloosa.

I don't see him leaving. And if it's a question of money, i really don't see ALabama not being able to be competitive at the table.
