Are we getting any buyout money when our OCs bolt to join Brady on his staff or are they allowed to go without penalty?

I bet you're fun at parties.

Why is his name popping up so much now? This usually means it's not gonna happen.

Source: Mississippi State assistant Zach Arnett in the mix for LSU defensive coordinator job

quote:

The Dispatch learned Tuesday morning that Arnett boarded an LSU-chartered plane bound for Baton Rouge. A source with immediate knowledge of the situation told The Dispatch Arnett's involvement with the Tigers' vacant defensive coordinator job is currently "just a conversation," and that nothing had been signed as of Tuesday morning.

Arnett, who just completed his first season at MSU, received a three-year extension worth north of $1 million annually in December according to a separate source.

It must have slipped Brady’s mind that he would be interviewing for head coaching positions and might get hired for one when he sent Peetz and Mangus here.

The fact that he recommended them for a job elsewhere should tell you something. Brady likely wants them to get more experience running an offense and to prove they can handle the job before hiring them back.

WTF are you talking about? Like to figure out who would be the top and who would be the bottom?

FYI: O is definitely a top.

Can you explain why Arnett would be a great choice. Moo State's defense did not look all that great this year.

What.

Moo State was 4th in the SEC after a year when they lost a ton of players AND playing under Mike Leach whose defenses have been bad.

He was very good out West at a lower level.

He's a good coach.

Serious question from someone who hasn't followed Arnett. Everyone keeps saying he transformed San Diego State in to a top defense but he wasn't DC there until 2018. In 2016 and 2017 they were already ranked relatively high in total defense. I'm not saying the guy isn't a good coach or DC. I just want to know why he is the one responsible for transforming the defense there.

Ran a top 10 defense at SDSU...that's out of 173. That seems pretty impressive. It's not like SDSU is riddled with 4 and 5 star talent, either.

Moo State is ranked 6th in defense just above us so it isn't much of a step up. Might as well as kept Pelini.
