Why if it is an NFL guy would you not be able to make the hire now? Wouldn't it be better for recruits to know you have a guy coming from say the Saints now than waiting. Why would it hurt the NFL team or the coach or coaching staff to know that their Dline coach is leaving after the season to take college DC job.

I haven’t seen his contract, but I doubt his buyout when leaving for another school is $2mil. $2mil sounds more in line with his buyout if he is fired, which is different than the buyout if he voluntarily leaves.

It's a big payout and when Leach was asked about his extension, yea, we put that in place because we kind of want him to stay here.

And Arnett was dumb for signing that knowing he was going to interview after the season. His agent went to sleep on that one. If you are a hot commodity, you don’t sign that deal.
