Call the Wild is my favorite book. (Just to add to my nerdom, I have over 100 different editions of it, including the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth printings)

Hobbit is just such a good quick easy read.

Nothing wrong with that. It has been so long since I read The Hobbit, it'll probably be one of the first I read this year

I am that way with some books too. I will buy any first edition of a book I love or a special edition. Especially Bill Bryson, Terry Pratchett, Terry Brooks

Bryson and Pratchett are my favorite non-fiction and fiction, respectively

Also have a couple Ian Fleming first editions (US first edition, unfortunately, as the UK first edition is worth 100x more)

Just looked it up. I have Thunderball first edition and it averages 30-50 on abebooks while the UK first is 120-220 on average

Had 18 as my goal last year and wound up getting through 21. I'm going to try to hit 20 again but we shall see.

Had to have audio books to hit it which I used to not do very many of. Definitely a change. I don't typically re-read books much either but I am going to re-read hour of the dragon since it'll have been 10 years since I last read it.

Goal: 20 Books

I have a stack of books next to my desk that I plan to tackle throughout the year. I do not consistently read, so it's likely I either finish this stack before end of year, or I've added several books to it and haven't completed it:

Current Read:
* Black Range Tales - James McKenna

Books to read:
1. AI 2041 - Kai-Fu Lee & Chen Quifan
2. Flags of our Fathers - James Bradley with Ron Powers
3. The Tipping Point - Malcolm Gladwell
4. Empire of The Ants - Bernard Werber
5. Man's Search for Meaning - Viktor E Frankl
6. When Bad Things Happen to Good People - Harold S. Kushner
7. Weapons of Math Destruction - Cathy O'Neil
8. Geronimo: Leadership Strategies of an American Warrior - Mike Leach & Buddy Levy
9. In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex - Nathaniel Philbrick

Completed reads:
Blood and Treasure - Bob Drury & Tom Clavin

No numerical goals from my end on total number of books to read this year. My main goal is to work against this list and try to be consistent from start to finish in reading books and magazines this year.
