"This really needs to go away. There's nothing wrong with a little hazing but this is idiotic" Agreed. I've seen like 3-4k bills, or having to buy donuts everyday or stuff like that, but almost 20k with tax/tip for one dinner for a rookie making under 400k after taxes is just absurdly dumb.

While I see the hazing aspect of all this, his teammates really just fricked him. All these older players need to show rookies that money can just go away. This isn't the way you teach these younger guys how to be smarter with your money.
