re: John Emery vs Travis Etienne - Negatiger1986
Fair point but you don’t win 2 championships behind a lousy O-line. Have seen a lot of comments about our O-line gelling and playing as a unit - I think Clemson has set the standard on what that looks like recently. ...

re: John Emery vs Travis Etienne - Negatiger1986
I think any talented back could have success behind that Clemson O-line and with the QB talent Clemson has had. All about balance. I like our RBs chances to put up some numbers with Burrow, an improved O-line, and a more balanced attack....

re: Ava Maria Rising Divididend - Negatiger1986
Capital can be returned to shareholders in several different ways - at the end of the day resources are taken out of a company or fund and given to investors. Investors then have the choice to reinvest that money as they see fit. If you think my analysis of the total return of AVEDX is flawed, I wou...

re: Ava Maria Rising Divididend - Negatiger1986
For AVEDX, cash is being returned as capital gains in addition to dividends. So the effective dividend is more like 7% which is consistent with the advertised 5-year annualized performance. The price is flat today compared to 5 years ago. Still VIG total returns are ~10% over the same time period...

re: Ava Maria Rising Divididend - Negatiger1986
Have not heard of this fund, interesting concept of investing in companies with values in line with the Catholic church. VIG (Vanguard Dividend Growth) vs AVEDX... Price 1Y +13% vs -1% Dividend Yield 1.7% vs 1.2% Expense ratio 0.06 vs 0.94 What are you seeing that I am not?...

re: Increasing number of ODs at LSU - Negatiger1986
Yea I knew it could be interpreted that way too. Thought it was funny though that the OP singled out xanax as the bad actor in an OD involving fentanyl. Seemed to imply the kid would have lived if he'd have just skipped the xanax and stuck to booze and fentanyl like everyone else....

re: Best Golf Club Membership "value" in Houston Area - Negatiger1986
Clubcorp does not own Riverbend. Riverbend used to have reciprocal privileges with the Briar Club, which the members (especially young guys living inside the loop) loved. Briar Club terminated the reciprocal in 2018, members complained, and this Clubcorp reciprocal deal is what they came up with as ...

re: What are some quality golf shirts that aren't $100 - Negatiger1986
I like these lands end shirts. They put new patterns out quarterly or so. And if they aren't on sale just wait a few days, can always get them 30-40% off. [link=(https://www.landsend.com/products/mens-short-sleeve-stripe-comfort-first-golf-polo/id_321186?sku_0=::K9W)]LINK[/link]...

re: Top 10 plays of LSU’s 2018 football season - Negatiger1986
Burrow hitting Sullivan across the middle on 3rd or 4th and long to extend the FG drive against Auburn was SO clutch. Also loved the long Burrow run late against UGA that put them out of their misery....

re: Recommend 65" TV - Negatiger1986
I have a 60" Panny Plasma that is dying - making a loud buzzing sound. Anyway, would you guys recommend going up to 65" or down to 55"? Seems like it is either one or the other with OLEDs. I guess 65" is obvious answer but it is not in a huge room (extra bedroom used as den/mancave) and seems like 6...

re: betting games - Negatiger1986
We play wolf with the caveat that you have to pick every player in the group 1 time, and go alone 1 time. This is assuming a foursome. Prevents the best player in the group from getting picked all day which frequently happens otherwise and takes some of the friendliness out of the game. We also inco...

re: Options for after maxing 401K and Roth? - Negatiger1986
Not trolling and I agree with Jag's level-headed post saying that rental properties can be a great investment. I own REITs in my own portfolio so I am not anti-real-estate at all. My response was driven by the fact that several posters mentioned rental properties as a viable option for the OP who...
