I just cannot fathom the senselessness and lack of care of people who drink and drive.

yes, but going 156 miles per hour on a city street makes it infinitely worse.

75% of all car accidents, and 100% of all plane crashes are committed by sober operators so you might wanna pump the brakes there champ

Place a monitor in his room playing the video of her car burning. Loop it so it plays over and over. Set it up so he cannot damage it or turn it off. 24/7 so the idiot can live with it every day of his stinking life.

Speed and alcohol are a deadly combination. I am praying for the victim's family.

Unfortunately he won’t.

No he won't. He'll be out for a while, but I'll almost guarantee that if he's not permanently injured you'll see him back in the NFL making millions in a few years.

You reap what you sow will take on a new meaning for Ruggs. Tragic for both families.

It’s so unfortunate. Young men make bad decisions that can turn tragic. A human is gone, many people will suffer. He lived large like so many others that have passed along his path, this is one of those tragedies that may serve as an example to others. Let it not be forgotten that this young man did not set out to be a monster or a villain, he got caught up and set a new course for his life, hopefully making some meaning for the victim’s family

There’s not enough money or time in jail that could make this better, but they should try and see. I’m a loving and forgiving man, but justice and consequences is another thing.

This video is so disturbing but there another one too after this which shows the car on fire and Ruggs on the street. Intense! My heart breaks for that poor lady he hit and it really is brought home with the video I am referencing.

If that was your daughter that burned alive because of this senselessness act, you would probably want to kill Henry Ruggs.

What a showboat idiot. I see people driving like that all too often. It’s just plain ignorance.

That's insane. I will tell you that I got a 300Z up to 133.5 MPH at night on the interstate early in the A.M. I was young and stupid. The tail lights from vehicles in the right lane are a blur. The slightest movement of the steering wheel to the left or right creates major movement. Will NEVER do that again. Have utmost respect for NASCAR drivers.

No power steering in those cars they aren't as sensitive as what you describe. That's not said to take anything away from them.

Same here. 155 on the Autobahn in a BMW. Car was planted and stable. Everything else was a blur, way too fast if there is any traffic, even when they are all doing 100. I later found out at 155mph you travel over 100 feet in .5 seconds. Take into account his impaired state and he had zero chance of slowing enough. What happened is really tragic and pointless. (Btw, NASCAR does indeed have power steering.)

Not "could have been prevented." "Never should have happened" is far more accurate.
