Les Miles Covered Up For Players Selling Drugs, Threatening Teammates Lives & Animal Abuse
© Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports
Les Miles has left quite the legacy at Kansas after only being their for two season. PLayers selling drugs, players threatening teammates' lives, animal abuse. Les, what are you doing? Per The Spun...
quote:

In a lengthy article released today by the Kansas City Star, former KU player Caperton Humphrey alleges that he was threatened and harassed by teammates during his time with the Jayhawks. Humphrey and his family say Kansas later agreed to continue paying his tuition and monthly stipend for a year if he agreed to leave Lawrence and complete his KU coursework online.

In the piece, Humphrey’s father says Miles was made aware of the ongoing issues involving his son and other players, including that some of those players were selling drugs. Allegedly, Miles suggested Humphrey and the other Jayhawks “settle their differences on the practice field, pitting them against each other — head-on — in full-contact drills.”

IDK, man. I'm not an LSU fan, but this Humphrey kid comes across as kind of a whiny loser. "Settle it on the practice field" may have been a pretty reasonable thing to tell him. Sounds like he had a laundry list of grievances of various levels of severity and truth and Miles just didn't have time for his histrionics.

LSU made Les Miles, no one knew who the hell he was when they hired him. Just some crazy coach from Okie State, but he inherits all of that great talent there at LSU and only managed to barely win 1 championship there. Lol I just shake my head when I think of him and those terrible offenses he ran there! Lol Saban set up a powerhouse there for him, and he could only manage 1 title in all the years he was there. Orgeron takes over, finally opens up the offense like people had been telling these clowns to do (I swear fans know football sometimes much better than these coaches), and he wins a title in just what 2 years, maybe 3, I don't know, but he should win much more before he's done. LSU just gets too much talent, the state of LA is a football hotbed. They probably had a lot of corruption at LSU, I'm sure, but somehow Miles managed to keep it hidden until he left. Smh

I was a Les fan in the early days at LSU, but I left him. I can't believe this is true.

How about innocent until proven guilty. Just saying. Journalism ain't what it once was.

"innocent until proven guilty" only applies in a court of law. We are all free to make determinations and opinions based on whatever information we currently have. We don't need to wait the years it would take to work through the judicial system.

just IMAGINE what he covered up at LSU

Couldn’t even cover up TM7 smoking weed. Not sure he had this kind of control at LSU, but he would have if he could.

The “but he’s a good guy” argument looks so silly in hindsight.

The entire culcha of big time NCAA football is disgusting. Not really any news here that you would not expect from the participants involved.
