Why would any reputable coach want to come to LSU????? If they're any good, they already make a fortune (relatively speaking) and the local sports writers and too many of the fan base are living in a Saban dominated dream world...it's a no win situation....I predict we'll wish Orgeron was back in a couple of years...this is truly, I believe, the end of LSU football

GIVE HIM A CHANCE! THAT'S HILARIOUS!!!!

Who cares what his records are he'll never have the talents like LSU does and he could be the answer. Give him a chance

C'mon down coach!

14-12 record as a head coach. I'll pass.

14-11-1 That was Saban after his first 26 games at MSU. Tucker would not be my first choice but he would not be a terrible hire.

First of all LSU shouldn't be looking for a black coach. They should go after Aranda though who happens to be black and your racist for even bringing up that question.

All you see is black? Mike Tomlin would be very much wanted by all LSU fans. It is because Tomlin is a PROVEN HEAD COACH!! Tomlin is black but that is irrelevant. LSU is not in the position to take a risk in this hire. Mel Tucker has not even been a head coach for 2 years yet and barely has a .500 record overall. The only racist in this conversation is ELchapo.

JHorton thinks Dave Aranda is black? He isn't, he is Hispanic, Mexican American to be exact. LSU has a black president. LSU may have some racist fans, all places do, but the university is not racist as it is currently constituted and probably is overreaching now in an attempt to distance itself from the days when it was.

If we're going to take a chance on this guy, then we might as well take a chance on Napier.

Good lord i dont want that frickin guy as our head coach. Hell no. I would say the same thing if he was white and the credentials (or lack thereof) that he has.

I would love to have Herm Edwards. He has experienced success in the NFL, and is somehow succeeding at ASU. Give him LSU’s resources and talent, and I predict great things. Tucker, however, does not deserve to be LSU’s next coach. This would only occur, IMO, if President CRTate pushed this hire through. Perhaps one day he will be deserving. That day is not now.

No one is talking about him. Given Woodward's track record of pulling a rabbit out of his hat, who knows.

Regardless if Tucker is a good coach or not, should he get the LSU job, he will always be known as 'the woke choice'...

Not hiring someone to avoid a “woke” choice is just as bad as hiring someone for being the “woke” choice…

If Tucker is the hire then Tate forced Woodward to hire him.
