I think what they mean by 1300 lbs is the tire weigh 430+ lbs and he flip it 3 times adding up to 1300 lbs.

Regardless of how much that tire weighs, BIG ED looks he part. This OL needs to impose it's will on opponents. Give the RBs a crease, and our QB, whomever it may be, time to make the planned progressions to get the ball to our playmakers in space. GT!

Saw 300 lbs while scrolling to video. Watched and was flabbergasted-was thinking, “hell I can do that!” Scrolled up-saw the 1 and , prior to 300–Iol-my bad, Sir!

That tire is heavy, but 1300 pounds? Lol, come on.

He would have to deadlift 1300 lbs then and have to power clean close to that in order to flip a 1300 lb tire. That's worlds strongest man/Olympic type of shite.

Well not 1300 lbs, but over half of that bc he isn't lifting the whole tire off the ground, just flipping it.

Yah 1300 lbs is not that bad on a tire. He not lifting the whole tire off the ground. He flipping it. Now if he can flip an 1800 lb tire then you talking serious business

I can tell some of y’all must be desk jockeys. That’s the tire from an articulated dump truck or similar- they are very easily 1300 lbs/tire. The bastards are about 2” thick.

Ok it weighs 1300lbs I was wrong but the dude is NOT lifting the equivalent of 1300lbs. That is still very impressive regardless.

Uh, the largest tire in the world goes on the Cat797 and is over 13 feet tall. It only weighs 11,860 pounds. I am pretty sure that "little" tire doesn't weigh 1,300 pounds when it is probably around 4-5 feet in diameter.

If they run out of tires, just use Kardell Thomas

That tire does not weigh 1300 pounds

BayouBengal9934 months
Exactly maybe 300 lbs not 1300.
user avatar
JumpingTheShark34 months
If it does it’s different than straight deadlifting a 1300 pound weight because the weight is distributed around the tire

Two things, that isn't nowhere near that. It was 800ish new. But, why are we letting guys do tire flips? If you're using all arms it's a bicep tear waiting to happen. <---strongman nerd

You should know that's definitely not all bicep if you are truly a strongman nerd <--- biomechanics nerd

Well Mr biomechanics the number one injury from tire flips is biceps tears. Why? Improper technique. You get it above your knee and then reposition it against your chest. He skipped that step. The idea being you push it up more than lifting it. The worst thing to do is try to lift it with your biceps. Past the breakover point it doesn't matter.
