According to this tweet from Matt Trent of WBRZ, it sounds like Ed Orgeron was bringing “girlfriends” to practice and was letting their kids participate in some of the drills.

Now, what Coach O wants to do in his personal life is completely up to him. But when a team is struggling as badly as LSU has over the last two seasons, this is probably not the kind of thing you need at practice...

Those innocent kids will cherish those memories for years... then one day they will face the awakening of what mommy did to make that happen.

How scared is the local media to not report any of this until AFTER Coach O is basically terminated?

He was chasing young skirts instead of coaching after 2019.

I can't imagine this being true. Yeah, I get it - O obviously wasn't always thinking clearly or team first - but if there aren't pictures of this or people willing to put their names to something like this then I just don't believe this is true.

Agreed. This sounds like something where he let them come to practice and watch, and then they threw a football around after

Practice is filmed from multiple angles. There should be video if it happened.

Did any of these "children" out-perform the LSU football team in these drills? If so, can they suit up and play?

Everyone knows that if this were true, there would have been some “reporter” posting pics of it just to get their rocks off. When this report initially came out, ZVR said it wasnt true.

Coach O downfall, after 2019 he started chasing young women and got a divorce from his wife of 24 years instead of coaching football. A 60 year old man chasing 20 year women is foolish and desperate.
user avatar
rob6231 months
Theses women are far older than 20 and he probably isn’t doing the chasing of these “innocent” little darlins’.

LSU was undefeated that year, but you know what else is undefeated? yep, a tale as old as time.

I’m glad we’re moving on but I don’t assume this and the hitting on the woman at the gas station is true. If it is, that’s very disappointing because I want to like him.

More hit jobs from LSU because the optics look bad to the outside...
user avatar

The real travesty is that Woodward still has a job.

How do the optics look bad? No one even expected O to have the job this long, probably not even himself if he's being honest with himself. However, you can't do some of the things he did when you're a head football coach at a school as prominent in the sport as LSU. Also, you could clearly see the teams regression happening before your eyes. It's like after the championship, his priorities changed. Not only that, he had made some terrible hires and it appears not very many coaches want to work for him. I think it's not a reach to say it's partially because he's meddling in things he said he wouldn't. Also, he should have got rid of James Cregg after his first or second year. That's probably the thing that hurt O the most, his loyalty to Cregg. The guy was a shite OL coach and an even worse recruiter. I don't even know if there's a starter, or even decent backup player, on the team that Cregg was the primary recruiter for. There's also the lack of him taking responsibility for the direction the team was going. He would constantly throw players under the bus. Which, that's not a good look when the coaching has been as bad as it has the last couple of years. There's a lot more things that you can point to as to why O doesn't have a job and I wouldn't say that any of them have the optics of making LSU look bad. Woodward gave O the rope and he hung himself with it. And, don't be fooled, a lot of it is because of his off the field issues. LSU football has been under a microscope because of all the allegations surrounding the program. The last thing you need in that situation is your head coach, who's probably in a role with essentially as much influence as the LA governor because of how our state functions, being a playa and potentially opening up the university to more scrutiny and even more lawsuits. I believe LSU could have let him go with cause and not have to pay him anything, but I think it's best the way they're doing it. And, they probably are releasing some things. Maybe it didn't go down exactly like this report is saying, which I'll add I think somewhere this story for fricked up or exaggerated some, but I do think there's a lot he was doing that is probably similar to things like this report, minus all the kids doing drills. That just seems like some telephone game bullshite.
