An arrest warrant has been issued for LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy for negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run during a deadly December car crash. Per WAFB:
quote:

Lacy is wanted on charges of negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run following a December 17, 2024 traffic crash that killed a former Marine and injured two others, Louisiana State Police said.

Louisiana State Police say they are “in communication with Lacy and his legal representation to turn himself in.”

After allegedly causing the crash, investigators allege Lacy sped from the scene and did not report his involvement to police.

Lacy, 24, of native of Thibodaux, Louisiana is also wanted on a charge of reckless operation of a vehicle, documents show.
Lacy played his final game at LSU vs. Oklahoma on November 30. He declared for the NFL Draft on December 19 and did not practice or play in the Texas Bowl against Baylor on December 31.

The fatal accident took place on December 17.

Sad for the lives loss and sad for Kyren Lacy. If found guilt, his NFL dreams are over. Hubrism is an ugly sin. I hope he turns to God and finds his way when this is all over.

Many affluent people make this choice and has happened recently in BR. Flee the scene avoid a sobriety tests then control the turn in and post narrative through your legal team. Luxuries average folk don’t have

Prayers to the family of the innocent hero. This is simply sad all around. Life has opportunities and many throw it away.

This young man makes bad decisions. Some which will probably cost him his shot to play professional football!

Hate to throw out his machine gun taunt earlier this year. Sure seems to go along with his fleeing the scene actions. Maybe it is too early to judge but it seems pretty poor decision making

Give him his day in court but if he's guilty, throw the book at him.

Hated the way the put up Lacy's stats but only said Mr Hall was a Marine. That Marine's service is FAR GREATER than any NCAA stat. And why do all those kids who seem to have trouble follow them around drive Chargers. Is that a thing?

With the first selection in the 2025 NFL draft…The Louisiana State Penitentiary Felons select Kyron Lacy, LSU. I hope he gets a 20 year extension.

without proof he actually did it? will be hard to prove he was behind the wheel since he didn't stop and I'm sure the windows were blacked out. all they have is it was his car.
user avatar
Forgiveness doesn’t mean he gets away with it. He’ll face the consequences and should.

@ cheeto225, if his windows were blacked out and there are no witnesses...I'm sure his lawyers are already looking for a fall guy for him.
user avatar
He may be in Mexico by now.

Well, he’s done now. If he had a shot to play in the NFL it’s gone now. Nobody would touch him as a draft pick or free agent. What a complete dumb arse. A stain.

He definitely had a shot to play in the NFL as a probably 3rd round pick. It's difficult to see someone picking him up. Although the Kansas City WR did exactly this and is still playing.
