Is there a chance that talented Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams could transfer to LSU?

According to Oklahoma City KWTV Sports Director Dean Blevins, Williams is down to Southern Cal and LSU as his top choices.

Many believe that the Oklahoma quarterback will follow Lincoln Riley to USC, but the thought of Williams landing at LSU would be huge for the Tigers.

The possibility would also create a log jam in the quarterback room with Myles Brennan, Garrett Nussmeier, and incoming five-star freshman Walker Howard.

Williams, a former five-star prospect from Washington, DC (Gonzaga HS), was heavily recruited by LSU as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2021 class. He ultimately signed with Oklahoma over the Tigers and passed for 1,912 yards and 21 touchdowns in 11 games during his freshman season this year.

Nobody get too excited about what Dean says. He loves to say shite like this for attention but he's wrong way more than he's right. Going by his track record this probably means CW is staying at OU which I hope doesn't happen

I think our quarterback room is fine at this point. Risk vs reward, I’m not the coach but as a fan and I would pass. I watched one Oklahoma game the whole year I was not impressed looks sort of Max Johnson-ish. Sure one game does not make a season I understand that, Caleb was overthrowing and missing wide-open receivers does that sound familiar. I hope Coach BK will stand Pat on the quarterbacks we have for this year

Your assessment is right. He's a good runner and scrambler but too many times he had all day in the pocket and would lock in on a receiver only to under throw or lob up a jump ball. Tons of potential though. The bowl game was his best game of the year and that was with out LR there.

Pass. We have our next stud in Brennan. LSU shouldn't even entertain this nonsense. It would disrupt team chemistry.

Miles quit on the team last year. Had he not quit, then I would agree with you touchdownjeebus. Now, as a result, I want the best QB available.

I think he means when he entered the transfer portal. That automatically gets a "no chest" ranking on this site, so it kind of checks out.

No thank you. I think he’s a talented kid, but I want to see Miles get his season and for Howard to take over afterwards. At the very least, Brennan deserves that.

Well, I'm a Miles Brennen fan. If this Dude comes we lose Miles for sure...or if he will sit on the bench for one year, he could beat out Nussmeier...Nussmeier is going to transfer anyway because next year is Miles and the next is Walker Howard...O'yes we can use the Dude...come on down...welcome...

Caleb is a top 3 player in all of college football. He would immediately make lsu a contender

He’s not a top 5 qb. Aside from a 3 game run, he has lots of problems.

He had 21 td to 4 ints Over65% completion percentage Rushed for just under 500 yards That’s in 7 starts with very little mop up before the first 5 games

Take it if you need to make a splash SC. Set up the narrative that you took something from the hot school - with the coach everyone is talking about who is raiding the transfer portal and getting key contributors to return - that was never a possibility. Take it if you really need it SC....
