Elite five-star dual-threat quarterback Caleb Williams announced his final three schools on Monday which are LSU, Oklahoma, and Maryland.

Williams is from Washington, DC (Gonzaga HS), and is the consensus No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in on the country for the class of 2021.

The 6-2, 210-pound prospect made his announcement with a blog on Sports Illustrated:
quote:

I'm really thankful for all the relationships I've built with these other colleges. The ones I put out before the top five and the ones that were in the top five and are now not in it. I'm very grateful for the connection I've built with those coaches, who have been putting so much time into me. It means a lot.

But I feel like these are the best ones for me.

It's Maryland, Oklahoma and LSU.

I really feel like those schools are the best schools for me overall, not just for football. I really feel like those schools can provide me the best opportunity academically and with my football career with the connections I've built with the coaches, the fans and the connection my parents and everybody has built with the coaches. The feel with all of those places, it just feels right.

I really feel like those three can help propel me to the next level and help propel my game to the next level.

Go to OU, get some serious playing time and put up big numbers. Then play LSU in the CFB playoffs and get your arse waxed by our defense.

the goal is NOT CFB playoffs or championships. the goal is the NFL and Oklahoma gets a lot of qbs there.

Williams is from D.C. That's why he has Maryland in there.

Where did the head coach coached before getting the Maryland job?

I don't understand how Stoops and now Riley just keep staying in the conversation and landing these elite athletes. Just like Georgia. They've got stacked rosters and still can't win a natty. I guess I can see it with Georgia because they've got real studs on both sides of the ball. The sooners are always average AT BEST, if not bad, on defense. But somehow they still get the ESPN pundits to hype them up every year, 9nly to come crashing down in spectacular fashion. I would hate to be an OU fan and live through that same song and dance every season.

While I was typing that, Joe Burrow threw for two more TDs against Oklahoma.

Keep the pedal pushed hard on the Texas QB to. I really hope Coach O doesn’t stop recruiting Garrett Nussmeier because I think he’ll be rock solid in keeping his commitment. Williams will always be soft till the final day.

Now that we have a commitment from Nussmeier I hope Williams understands the clock is ticking faster for his final decision to commit . I’d rather a couple of 5 star offensive or defensive lineman than him.

Somebody needs to remind him that every draft eligible Offensive player from LSU has signed with a NFL team... Respect those decisions
