I believe my previous post was about the Fab 5 era. I cheered for Michigan and the Fab 5 even though I graduated from LSU. You said no one would cheer for Angel Reese if she didn't go here. I was disagreeing.

I'm happy to post my response to your query the following way...

1. When Kim Mulkey decided not to give words of solidarity and encouragement for a young American lady who played for her, won her a national championship, and was imprisoned under the brutal regime of a dictator, did you find that classless?

2. When Ed O won a national championship and like 5 minutes later was pictured in a pool with some random chick that wasn't his wife, did you start cheering on Dabo Swinney because Ed O was classless?

3. When the greatest coach ever was here banging the former governor's wife and the OC was banging co-eds (all ALLEGEDLY), did you call them out for being classless and start cheering for other schools?

4. This last question is purely rhetorical...is the person you're supporting for leader of the free world a convicted felon, raw dogged a porn star and before he did it, told her that she reminds him so much of his daughter, faked a university to steal from those people who looked up to him, called military veterans "losers"...is that all considered classless or not?

My point is if you expect more class out of a 20 year old black woman power forward on your school's basketball team than you expect out of those adults I'm assuming you don't have a problem with...then you're not really concerned about "class". It's something else. Did I answer your question?

This is more like it. I actually respect this take more than the other "she's classless" take. This poster didn't bother to hide his racism. That's actually refreshing. He chose not to gaslight with esoteric terms like "classless". Sure the take is complacently stupid and repugnant in a society that should embrace different cultures, but at least he didn't hide his overt racism behind coded words. Good on you, mate!

I honestly wonder if people on University of Iowa boards put on for Angel Reese the way most of ya'll put on for Caitlin Clark. It's like y'all can't get enough of her in your mouth. Instead of appreciating the player most responsible for that championship trophy you have and a young lady who puts on for LSU every chance she gets, most of y'all, for some strange reason, not only ride for Clark, but openly denigrate the player who helped put LSU women's basketball back on the map. Such a strange sickness. The young lady was just ranked #2 in an unscientific poll by ESPN...instead of rooting for the former LSU player, y'all take swings at her while rushing to Clark's defense. That's so damn strange!

But I guess it shouldn't be surprising that those people who lied about Kap and Reid's reasons for kneeling also lied about what they were gonna do as a result of this peaceful protest. Perhaps Eric Reid and Kap would have gotten more love from these people posting if instead of kneeling, they had stormed the capitol...you know, like "true patriots". Not sure if you remember or not, but David Palmer was the scariest dude in college football. You absolutely did not punt to him and you double covered him out the locker room. That Bama game, Jay Barker was hurt, so they played 2 other QBs (including Freddie Kitchens). It wasn’t until they said F it and put Palmer under center that they scored. In fact we couldn’t stop Palmer. If Palmer started that game, we get beat like a drum.

I'm old enough to remember when that kid who was playing shortstop for LSU in the CWS went 0 and forever and we were being scolded on this board that we should NEVER talk about a kid who wears the LSU jersey. Cut to a dynamic athlete giving the #9 Va Tech team 19 and 9 and providing toughness and excitement to a sport you're only writing about because of this player...and all of a sudden you're hyper-technical about her future prospects in a professional sport you have no intentions of watching. Almost seems like a lot of you would rather see LSU fail then have a natty with Angel Reese as head of the team. Strange.

Uh oh...probably shouldn't have posted this. Lots of "tiger fans" have become the "class" police today posting about how classless it was when Angel Reese pointed to her ring finger vs. when Burrow and Crews did it. To know that the winning LSU pitcher said something like that on the field to his opponents...wait for the downvoting to begin! Or maybe not. Hmmm.
