LSU and Alabama's streak of playing eight-straight primetime games on CBS against each other will come to an end in 2019, according to an early SEC schedule from the network.

The annual matchup between the Tigers and the Crimson Tide is set for Saturday, November 9 in Tuscaloosa but CBS does not have a doubleheader day and night game scheduled on that date.

CBS would get first pick at selecting LSU-Alabama for their day game on Nov. 9 or it could be a night game on another network.

The last time LSU played Alabama during the day was 2010 in Baton Rouge when the Tigers beat the Crimson Tide 24-21.

LSU may have not won in recent times but to say it's overhyped is a little overboard. Provide facts to your statement. It's still a highly recognized matchup.

I assume CBS wants their one night game a year to be Notre Dame vs Georiga on 9/21 with the Florida-Tennessee game in the 2:30 slot that day.

Good. This is no longer a rivalry.

It is. (When's the last time Michigan beat Ohio State--is that not a rivalry anymore?) But I agree with it being moved to a day game. We haven't earned keeping it at night.

Yeah but Ohio St vs Mich games are actually close.

Nope. That’s not a rivalry game either.

It's because it's in Tuscaloosa. No one cares about Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

It's because LSU hasn't won since the middle of Obama's first term in office.

That following season we also went on to beat Bama in Ttown giving us a 2 game win streak. Its happening this is a sign of the #tIncline

Let's hope the media and fans don't hype this game up like every other year. Until LSU wins a few of these games it should be treated as just another SEC game.

Not really a primetime game when the same team wins every single year.

Well when you hype the shite out of a game, complete with billboards, and then lose 29-0, this is what happens.

Here's to hoping we can finally pull off the upset this year so that it could alternate back to a night game next year in Death Valley!
