LSU backup quarterback Colin Hurley tweeted the following message on Tuesday morning about Brian Kelly.

Hurley, a former four-star quarterback from Miami, Fla., enrolled at LSU at 16 years old and redshirted his freshman season in 2024. He was injured in a car accident in January of 2025 and returned to the team for the final week of spring practice.

He has not played in any games so far this season.

Good reports have surfaced from players and parents about CBK. We'll never know what demons he might have been fighting to take his mind off this most important responsibility.

Frank, give Hurley and MVB a shot against Bama. At least the OL will not get them killed. Save Nuss the the remaining 3.

finally a player had something nice to say, it was hard to believe he was so universally disliked.

I have yet to hear any players say negative things about Kelly. The narrative in the media now is that he "lost the locker room" and the players quit on him. I seriously doubt that, just piling on by the media for the sake of headlines imo.

Good for Colin….it takes a lot of courage to stand up for someone that you respect when it goes against popular sentiment. That kind of character will take him far in life.

We appreciate and feel your pain over you losing your coach, whom you had a warm relationship with. Unfortunately, you have been and are on a Championship talent level team, including you, and have been without a head coach that could galvanize the team to maximize your team potentials.

Cool to hear. I was wondering if he had connected with anyone.

Good job Colin

He can go with Kelly especially if he’s a drop back passer

He’s got a ton of potential. Though I fear he will be buried on the depth chart, especially with a new HC coming in. Even MVB will probably be QB2 again… wonder if Colin follows BK??

I’m not a fan of Kelly but l don’t think he’s as bad of a man that the media portrays him as. A lot of piling on now

Those are some tremendous words of truth from the young man

People forget how impressionable the young mind still is at that age. Wait until he meets someone who really cares.

Have to wonder if this is in response to the messaging Kyren Lacy’s father posted on sm.

Who fricking cares? He's a kid, literally. He didn't LOVE you kid, he saw you as a commodity. Notice how he never played you

Thanks for being honest young man...stay around...you just never know what the future holds for you...Chambliss at Ole Miss would be 'riding the pine' had not the starter getting hurt.

Yeah, he's definitely seen Kelly's penis.

Those are classy remarks by this young man. I hope we get to see him play some in these final games. Obviously, we want to see him be redshirted. He is still very young.

I agree. He redshirted last season.

But a helluva lot more mature than several Rant posters.
