CBS Sports latest mock draft from Ryan Wilson has former LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase getting selected No. 9 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals where he could team up with Joe Burrow.

The only other receiver ahead of Chase in the mock draft is Alabama's Jaylen Waddle who is out for the rest of the season with a broken ankle.

The draft is a very long way off. This could change 100 times!

Maybe LSU will have to he first 2 WR's off the board. TM6 then Chase

I think I’d wait to see how Waddle recovers from his injury before I took him with a top 10 pick, but that’s just me.

Yeah it’s just you. Chase and Joe have a connection and Waddle is off a significant injury.

U dont need an oline just toss to chase in like 1.5 sec :)

That’s frickin dumb. Cincy is taking an offensive lineman to protect their franchise QB. Of course....it is Cincy. So maybe they would do something dumb like that.

How often do O line go in first 4 picks

I agree the most important thing for cincy is to the build the oline, but as things stand right now, Sewell is the only OT worth taking that high. And he’ll be gone by 9, as projected in this draft. Tho I still don’t agree with this mock, if we assume Cincy is picking top 10, and we assume Sewell is already off the board, then the Bengals of defense with this pick.

If it's not Sewell it would be a waste to draft an OL that high. Cincy will get rid of AJ Green's contract and get OL later in the draft and free agency. Think having Chase on one side and Higgins on the other with Boyd playing slot? That is a top 5 NFL WR group.

How cool would that be…

Waddle wasn'y even a full time WR until this season. Alabama mostly used him on special teams returning punts and kicks, and on pass plays designed for him to use his elusiveness. Now, I'm supposed believe he's this complete WR like Chase and Marshall, nah, he's not better than either one of them. They are also bigger receivers!

There's no way any GM is going to take Waddle over Jamarr Chase.

Waddle is a gimmick. He can’t and won’t be a number one receiver at anytime during his career.

Weird seeing Mac Jones so high to a team that just drafted a QB 2 years ago. Is it time to move on from Haskins? Idk how you could know what you have in that shite show of a franchise. I feel like a lot of qbs would look like shite in the current state of that roster.

He might win the Heisman. Why is top 10 implausible...

He’s legit. He makes nfl throws all the time.

Same. His breakout year is covid year when all defenses suck due to limited practice time.

Of course they'd predict Chase to a team with an LSU QB and same with Waddle to a team with a a1abama QB.

If Miami was wise they'd draft T Marshall.

They should be drafting Offensive Linemen before it is too late.

I don't think they will draft high enough for Sewell; every other offensive lineman in the draft would be a risk to take in the top 12, with so much needs and so much still available.

I'd love to see Chase with Joe in Cincy, but it doesn't make much sense for what the Bengals needs are. They can move AJ Green and bring in a WR from trade/free agency. They need top OL talent in the draft and defensive help in coverage. They also have a hole to fill on the DL now that they moved Carlos Dunlap to the Seahawks. WR is just not a high enough need for a first round pick when there are options there in FA. Next season you have Tee Higgins as your WR1 with Boyd at WR2. You can get an WR3 and WR4 in lower draft rounds and in FA. Chase is stepping onto a roster as WR2 with a chance to move to WR1 in training camp.

I mean would be cool but a very dumb pick on Bengals part. Their O line is awful

Can make trades to get a good line. Youre an idiot.

You right, OLine is more important, Cincy has WR's that have come on like Green. Green is now playing like the old AJ Green!

Rumor going around is that the Bengals are going to go after Chase in the draft and will also try and trade Joe Mixon and Bernard to KC for Clyde.

Bad teams always overvalue straight line speed. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens.

Devonta Smith is the Bama WR teams will want. I don't see Waddle going in the top 15 unless he heals up very well and blows everyone away at the combine with more than just speed. Right now he's just a speed guy who can return punts. Brandin Cooks coming out of college. Doesn't mean he can't show more than that or develop into more, but that's his comp right now.
