re: What’s your game to watch?

2015 Auburn. Leonard Fournette ran roughshod over AU that game.
More often than most, I side with the young men leaving for the NFL after their third year. However, I think Kayshon is making the right decision here. I think this season dropped KB into the mid second round at best, and he’s a WAY better talent than that. Coming back gives him the chance to improve his stock and earn that big money from the jump. Also, for as much as everybody hates on it, I think the NIL is working in our favor here. Previously, a kid with a new born daughter might need to head to the pros and get that money to provide his little girl. NIL means she’ll want for nothing while Kayshon finishes out his career at LSU.
I had two different on campus jobs in 2014/2015, both provided through my scholarship. The first was in a computer lab in Patrick F. Taylor. My official duties were "sit in this lab for a few hours and make sure nobody walks out with the computers / pick up any trash on the floors before you leave" Pretty cushy. Easiest money I've ever made. I ended up losing this job because I dropped my 5 hour calculus 1 course, which meant I was no longer enrolled in enough credits to be classified as a full time student.

My second on campus job was as a research assistant for a grad student pursuing his PHD in environmental engineering. We were working on finding a material that could be used to build a barrier to save the Louisiana coastline without harming the ocean. My job mostly included performing chemical tests on the composition of samples that came back from the field. Occasionally I was tasked to building various contraptions to aid in the experiment.

Both jobs were very easygoing and flexible in terms of scheduling, with a cap at 20 hours per week. Both jobs paid 7.25/hr - minimum wage at the time.
Wow!! Truly excellent stuff. Thank you for sharing    :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

This ain't the game to bring young kids to. This is the game you sneak an extra flask of bourbon into, not be able to talk for a week after, absolutely standing up the entire 60 minutes being rowdy as shite, STTDB kinda energy all game long. NSFW kinda Saturday Night in Death Valley!

I wanna go watch the game with this guy.
Staying in New Orleans the night before can be a good time. Enjoy some good food, definitely hit Cafe Du Monde while you're there. Enjoy bourbon street some with your wife, but be careful -- it's easy to get carried away on bourbon and have a wicked hangover the next morning. This will be especially rough because you'll want to wake up and get to Baton Rouge early. Parking can be a pain on gameday. As others have said, wear some OSU gear, tell any adults at a tailgate (meaning not the frat dudes on the parade grounds) that you're hear to check out the LSU experience and that you're rooting for the tigers. You'll be given as much food and alcohol as you can handle by these strangers. Make sure you leave the tailgate in time to catch the team and the band coming down victory hill. Swing by Mike's habitat to see the tiger as well. Also just a fair warning, we're expecting something of a down year. If 'Bama is kicking the shite out of us the stadium may be empty by halftime. Overall, have fun you guys!!
He came up twice, once for winning a rep in 1v1s, and mentioned once in a note about a DB have a nice PBU.

FWIW I wanted Myles instead of Burrow in 2018

You’re making it really difficult to trust your QB analysis
Just for context I’m a younger fan who only likes football and basketball but I would go with:

9-6 Game of the century
2007 vs. Auburn (football)
2019 vs Tennessee (basketball)
2015 vs Auburn (football, LF7’s best game)
2019 vs Maryland (basketball, second round tourney)
2019 vs Texas (football)
2019 vs Alabama (football)
2006 vs Texas (basketball, elite 8)
2007 NC vs Ohio State
2019 NC vs Clemson

Weird observation but Tyler Shelvin has really nice teeth.
Sam Houston State in 2014. First home game of my Freshman year. Leonard Fournette does the heisman pose after scoring his first touchdown.
I love this idea, and it’s not that far fetched when you consider the donations some of these guys make back to the program already. Badger has already been mentioned in this thread as a guy that has made some generous donations. And let’s be real, even before NIL this type of stuff was already happening. There was an interview where Charles Barkley said that he saw some kid playing basketball in Germany, and immediately called his agent and told him “get in touch with Dirk Nowitzki. Tell him I’ll give him anything he wants to play basketball at auburn.” It didn’t work, but it still shows these things were happening and being kept under wraps.
Day one of my Disney vacation. Worse an LSU t-shirt and my tigerdroppings hat. Got plenty of “Geaux tigers” throughout the day and had 2 separate people recognize the hat and tell me they’re on here all the time. Neat experience, hope y’all enjoyed the park as much as I did, and Geaux Tigers!
The more I look into some of these options, the more I like Billy Napier. Some people will push back just on the principle of LSU poaching from ULL, but the guys resume is impeccable. There was one rough season while he was at Clemson, but otherwise Billy has been successful every step of the way. He's been a QB coach at several stops, he's shown ability to be the playcaller for successful offenses that are both run-centric and pass-centric, which indicates he can adapt to his personnel to find the best option for his team. He's a good recruiter that is already familiar with the state of Louisiana. This guy is at the absolute top of my wishlist.
I'll cast my vote for Aranda, but I wouldn't mind Fickell or Franklin.

You mean there are players running around in shitty jerseys? That cant help recruiting

You're getting downvoted, but this made me chuckle. Have a sense of humor, people.

DIBS? That's the Dallas Alumni Association watch party location.

No, we watched that game at texas live. It's a large bar / restaurants / lots of TVs thing near Jerry World and Ranger Stadium.
I have a few fantastic memories from that season.

Opening game (Georgia Southern) was the only game I actually attended. My brother and I went together. He attended LSU for a year before transferring and graduating from Georgia Southern, so that was kind of a neat experience. Walking around campus with him after the game was a good time.

Went with my girlfriend and her family to Austin for the Texsas game. Hit tons of UT fans with tigerbait and horns down before watching the game at a BWW. Good times.

Watched Alabama game with a few hundred other LSU fans at this big venue in Dallas. Celebrated the win and my girl's birthday bar hopping after the game. Made friends with some other random LSU fans at the bars (we live in Dallas, so there aren't LSU fans everywhere like in Louisiana.)

Finally, in the middle of a family vacation to Hawaii, we put vacation activities on hold to hit a sports bar and watch our Tigers close the show. National Champs, baby!!
Thanks for your updates everybody! We managed to reach the people we needed to reach. The house we own (my cousin lives in it currently) appears to be relatively unscathed. The barn completely collapsed but we are just happy to see the house standing. God is good.
