Brian Kelly Reveals Garrett Nussmeier Has Been Dealing With A Torso Injury

LSU coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters on Monday and revealed that quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has been dealing with a torso injury since fall camp.

Kelly said that they have limited Nussmeier in practice during the week to allow him to be a full-go on Saturdays.

Kelly added that his injury is not the reason for LSU's offensive issues, and they expect him to be fully healed after the bye week, following the Week 5 game at Ole Miss.

Sit him this week and let Van Buren and Hurly take care of business before we play Ole Miss. Get the other QB's some game experience before Ole Mis. What if Nuss gets hurt in the OM game and neither of these guys have played a good amount of time?

Something seemed off with him. That pass that got picked agaisnt LA Tech had no force behind it. This could explain the lack of deep balls...hopefully.

What dreadful offense? BK was clear they game planned that way to win the game. He also said it was obvious we could run the ball fine because of the last real play from scrimmage was a 51 yard run (even though it took 20+ run plays before that to come up with the other 51 yards rushing). If we are not happy with 220 yards passing and 51 yards rushing against a below average FL team then we (and reporters in particular who ask questions about it) are spoiled.
