Former LSU and current Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry was not happy when he found out that five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. was signing with Alabama over the Tigers and sent out the following tweet.

Surtain Sr., the father of the talented CB saw the tweet and was not too happy.

Surtain sr and jr are whack as hell. Not bcuz he choose bama, but they way he choose them. We were his leader for 3 years and recruited him harder than any other program and when the moment of truth comes, he ditches us for our rivals. He has no honor!! And his excuse was he wants to play for championships. What if they never play for another championship, but LSU does. Does he still believe he made the right decision. He never mentioned education, family environment, comfort level, nothing. Just I wanna play for championships. That a the easy way out.

This is true. LSU players know a championship is a tougher road than at Bama. They also know that the road prepares them more for the next level. Being on a juggernaut team does less to develop a player than being on a good team that competes against the same level of foes as the juggernaut. Kids that choose Bama are short sighted, and want a ring. Kids that choose LSU are looking at their career.
