Three-star cornerback Jay Ward from Moultrie, GA announced Tuesday that he de-committed from Kentucky and has reopened his recruitment.

The news comes just a few days after Ward wrapped up his first visit to LSU for the Alabama game.

The 6-1, 175-pound prospect from Colquitt County High School, received his offer from LSU and defensive back coach Corey Raymond back on October 18th.

The Tigers currently have four cornerbacks committed for the class of 2019.

This kid is good. The star rating does not do him justice. LSU has an offer for him I think.

We are getting 3 and 4 star recruits, Bama is getting 4 and 5 star recruits... not to mention they have a 5 star coaching staff and we have a 3 star. These are the reasons they kick our arse every year, it sucks but its true.

Why are we chasing 3 star corners that were committed to Kentucky when we need freaking 5 star lineman.

We need corners AND linemen. Justin Jefferson was a 3* and has arguably been our most productive receiver...
