My coach and my parents would have had me running laps if we said something about wanting music playing when we stepped in

Someone needs to teach him how to hold that bat correctly and not focus on so much on the walk up songs.

Douchey and white trash teams have walk out songs in little league or travel ball

I played Little League throughout the '90s and walk-up songs were used in some tournaments we played in. Today it is much easier to pull off with just a cellphone and a Spotify account. Pretty cool in my opinion.

Ryder takes his place in the pantheon of Travel Bawl name greats.

People hating on the kids for having walk up songs is like when my dad would get pissed at me for having my hat backwards at practice. I did it bc Griffey did it. It's the same with these kids - just trying to be like their favorite players.

I still remember the days when you walked up to the plate and hit the ball.

when I heard the name Ryder I then hoped a tiny meteor would hit the stands where his parents were sitting.

I've got a 10 year old that I'll wager $1,000 will strike you out. LOL

Which shows just how unathletic the sport truly is.

I’ll wager you $1,000 he couldn’t make a select or school soccer team, the football team in middle school, compete in any event in track, play basketball...

Was at my nephews Knights tournament a couple weekends ago and this team from Cen-La had walk-up songs, but for only a few of the kids. Wasn't great to experience in person.

If I was umping I would tell both managers there will be no walk up music BS. These are freaking kids.

I would’ve hit the kid just for having an entrance song, that has got to be annoying, playing a different song every time someone comes up to bat!!

entrance songs? really

Part of me says whatever, no big deal, let them have fun. Part of me says this kind of excessiveness in youth sports helps create entitled little brats. Either way I do appreciate the parents trolling their kid.

Yes they are called walk up songs. My son plays travel baseball here in the Atlanta area and every team and every kid has one.

I guess they do it to replicate MLB players when they come to the plate to hit. It is the same concept. If you ever go to an MLB game and when the batter walks up to the plate they will have a walk up song playing.
