I just saw this mistake posted again within the last hour. And I've seen this 3 vs 4 LSU Championships error posted numerous times before on T.D.
Know the Facts - Get it Straight!
LSU's 1st National Football Championship was in 1958 against Clemson!
This 1958 Trophy is no doubt the 1 that the "young ones" on this board are likely unaware of.

Like the poster above me mentioned, 1908 should also be included. It's even officially listed on the NCAA website. LSU has 5 college football national championships.

Winspedia has us listed under claimed and recognized for 5 titles.

We can't claim 5 (1908 season) national championships yet, because Jayden Daniels' mom will sue. When LSU wins another one, we can jump from 4 to 6.

That’s puts us in 4th all time for current SEC members. 1 behind those hillbillies up in Knoxville, and 2 behind OU.

The same governing body that awarded us the 1908 championship was the same that awarded Michigan one of theirs, so yeah why not.
