Pentagon Must Prepare for Battles Around the Moon

Space Force announces they have put weapons in space.

What he specifically said is that we have to be able to fight and win from the seabed to cislunar space. Meaning all area between the bottom of the ocean out to and around the moon.

This administration isn't satisfied with war in the middle east, so they want to invade the moon.

Yes, thank God that we have leaders that look beyond their nose, and are strategic planners. You know, instead of just sitting on their asses. Also, thank God we have leaders that at least pretend to fight Socialism, instead of openly endorsing it.

Could be about communist China landing on the moon in ten years and claiming some or all of it. Knowing the Chinee they will claim it all, for us all, and then negotiate.

It most likely is China. It would be awful if earth went to war over the moon, but humans are greedy and power hungry. I am not sure I would trust Europe, one of 4 powers capable of going to the moon.

Right. "Around the moon" =/= "invade the moon." Invading the moon is crazy talk. There is obviously nothing there to invade.
My guess as to what they actually mean here is that they anticipate potential hostilities between nations when it comes to using and controlling Lagrange points in space. Cislunar space is defined as the space AROUND THE MOON, not on the lunar surface. I'm not sure how you could have read any of that as we are preparing to invade the lunar surface.
