I'd say give it a week and he caves. This is going viral now with the Mets tweet. He can keep up the idiocy and ruin his career, or cave and try to salvage his career going forward.

The fact they haven’t already done that tells me his camp is either completely delusional or incredibly stupid.
Hell I can’t believe someone with Washington hasn’t advised him to reverse course. They can’t like the fact their qb is being memed constantly.

It really depends on whether he can untie himself from mommy dearest apron strings and separate is interests from hers.
It's a hard road back for him with the LSU community so his efforts, if he desires to mend fences, will have to be considerable and the peace offering commensurate with the damage he has done.
Conversely, LSU has to have a great response if he makes a peace offering.
IMO, his mom will prevent this happening because she doesn't seem like someone interested in peace. She never appeared to become part of the community like the Burrows did.

He has only one option now - he has to play well and win.
Every single little thing he does now will be critiqued. It's the most fascinating self character assassination I've ever seen.
LSU fanbase has completely turned on him. He wanted to make it him vs Joe and the LSU fanbase chooses the champion who doesn't skip games.
The commanders fanbase is furious that he's even thinking about this 3 weeks before the season after how bad last year was for was. No one is going to give him an ounce of grace this year.
Also it's universally being blamed on him. MLB teams are making fun of him on twitter, his petty, childish behavior has made him into a trend making fun of him.
PMT is the #1 sports show in the world and they opened their last episode and just bodied Jayden and talked about how insane this behavior is and how obviously LSU fans love the champion more.
He's burned the boats. There's only one way out now - win.
He's going to get no more grace from anyone. If he struggles, gets hurt more and they're picking top 5 again then that rookie season is going to feel like a lifetime ago.

His mom definitely has the Diva complex. I get it she loves her son and now she hovers over him as his agent also. You can see why Jayden's Dad got away from that. She definitely got offended by something that didn't go her way with the NIL stuff or something like that.
