Many Heisman winners haven’t had numbers retired or not used
All Oklahoma winners numbers are still in circulatio, any many more examples
Plus anyone comparing JD to JoeCool9 are crazy
Burrow et al winning the NATTY & every other award in 2019 is why no one will wear #9 & someday will have statue outside Tiger Stadium

What is a “number” anyway? Is it something tangeble that you can hold? Is it a figmant of our imagination? Or could it even be a represintation of something greater then our feeble minds can comprehend! I will leave it to the experts to continue to debate this hot topic, meanwhile, i will continue to question why “he who must not be named” is trying to take ownership over something that even the mythical God’s themselves have been pondering since the begining of time!

Im wishing a 20 interception season idgaf an attack on LSU I take as an attack on Louisiana and I don’t take attacks on Louisiana.

It's nuts because LSU DOESN'T retire numbers. Everything said about it including comparisons, unfairness and wrongs is irrelevant. A current administration can hold a number out of circulation but LSU has had a policy in place and DOESN'T permanently retire numbers anymore.

The thing for me is, who benefited more from JD coming to LSU? Certainly wasn’t 9-3 LSU. JD doesn’t win a heisman if he stays at ASU

Maybe. Let’s not forget he had multiple meltdowns late in games that resulted in losses.
All of this is really moot because there’s ZERO chance LSU gave him the rights to any media produced by the school. LSU can continue to use anything containing him and there’s nothing he can do about it.
All he’s accomplished is a tarnished image that will negatively impact his marketability for future endorsement deals.
He’s a joke and I wouldn’t attach my brand to him for free.

Or maybe he doesn’t win the Heisman because we don’t need to go all out on the offensive side of the ball with a better defense thus effectively reducing his stats. We will never know. Appreciate his season as a QB that year but this shite now is ridiculous on his part!
