I know this won’t be a popular take. However I think it’s almost gotten out of hand at this point. I have two daughters and taking them to a game is just tough now. The student section screams it to literally any and all songs the band plays. And before the game hear it screamed all throughout. Just very hard to see grown adults saying this or screaming it when there are kids all around them. I’m only 36 so it’s not just an old person comment. I just will not raise my daughters to think that type of language is appropriate.

First down vote.

I get it as a parent. But as an LSU alum I struggle with not thinking it’s awesome.

I agree for half the games. But for huge games like the Bama game, the gloves should be off and don't expect a family atmosphere.

Your kids aren’t paying attention to the game and I guarantee have no idea what the student section is saying. Stop being a huge pussy.

The human condition is in disrepair. This and things like this are the result of that. They’ll have to toughen up eventually because it’s only going to get worse.

I disagree. It’s happens too frequent. It has it moments where it fits and can be awesome, but the current state of the chant is lame and trashy.

Its like a freshman getting drunk and acting like its an original thing that everybody wants to see. Embarrassing is what it is.

I agree…. I always get a chuckle out of it. However, there is always some awkwardness when I see young children around me.

It's a display of human nature. If they would have "lived and let live" with "Neck," the chant would merely be confined to the one song, but since they banned it, the students have been emboldened to apply the chant to everything. That's what the administration gets for acting like a bunch of prudes.

They’re college kids in the student section. Anyone that’s followed LSU football over the last 50 years and actively follows college football knows that, with the exception of military academies, pretty much anything goes in the student sections. Of course it’s off color; they’re drunk college kids.

I know you’ll object, but if it’s problematic for you, get online on your selection day with TAF and move your seats for next season. For a myriad of reasons, I would never have sat with my family near the student section when they were young.
