If Weis takes a HC job

If he takes a head coaching position would it be possible to get Lincoln Riley as a Offensive Coordinator if he gets canned at USC?

No shot. Riley will get another head coaching gig. Plenty of schools would kill for Riley as their head coach.

Joe Brady is the HC for the Buffalo Bills.

You can start with Baylor.

I don’t think he and Lane would get along at all. Similar to James Franklin, he’s also going to have his choice of some head coaching positions, even if they aren’t at top tier P4 schools. He’s already come up in discussions around Baylor, assuming he’s gone from USC now.

The beauty of having Kiffin is that we never have to worry about this being an issue.

Yea you right. Just a thought. I just think he’s better as an offensive coordinator.

Do not want Riley or his brother. He wouldn’t come here any way.

I thought he just commented that because he thought my post was outlandish. Just hear me out though.

Just let Lane do what he does and save a few million

You right so I guess if Weis does leave we should be ok..

Jeff Lebby if he gets canned at state?

Ex UGA QB? Wow that didn’t seem that long ago since I saw him throw a fade route to AJ Green to take the lead in the 4th quarter in 2009. Only to have Charles Scott score the go ahead TD..

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Maybe he would bring Taylor with him. I have a feeling we’re getting Taylor out the portal after Leavit leaves.

Take a look at Kevin Decker at Memphis. Lane likes working with young, up and coming offensive coaches and he fits the bill. He’s stepped into a bigger G6 role this year at Memphis and done well, ironically using a D2 transfer QB and even more new players than we have on offense. He also runs a similar scheme.
Lane may look for more experience now that he’s here, but this would be in line with how he’s hired in the past.
