Argentina's has 19 goals. 10 have come after the 80th minute. 7 of those after the 90th.S

If they win it all, they might be the most clutch sports team of all time.
Unofficial counts have this World Cup setting the record for most equalizers and winners being scored after the eightieth minute at ~ 31.

ETA: Some other goal stats I found interesting:
Team Goals:
Argentina leads with 19. France is in second with 16.
England and Belgium are tied for 3rd with 14 .Spain and Norway are tied in fifth with 13 goals each.
Rounding out the top ten are Germany, The Netherlands, and the United States in a tie at 7th place with 11 goals each.
Spain and France are currently tied in first place for Attempts at Goal with 120 each.
Of the Top ten goal scorers listed above, The Netherlands comes in last place with only 46 attempts at goal (ranked 23rd in the tournament).
Belgium ranks 4th with 112 attempts at goal. (This team went on the attack way more than the majority of people believed leading up to the US game).
Goal's conceded:
Spain and Colombia are both tied in 1st (or last place depending on how you sort the list. FIFA ranks them from most to least) with only 1 goal conceded for the tournament.
Spain also has the most clean sheets with 6 (in 7 matches).
You would think that would make Simon the Best Goalkeeper running away...right?
Not so fast:
Goalkeeper saves: the most saves by a goalkeeper in the 2026 World Cup belongs to Orlando Gill of Paraguay had 28 saves, 14 more than Simon, along with 2 clean sheets.
7 more saves than second place.

I don’t think they plan it, but they know this about themselves.
However, I think this match will be different and whoever scores first in the final, wins the match.

They’ve fought to the end, are an actual team but they have gotten lucky as hell too. An all time choke job by Morocco and one of the dumbest tactical decisions I’ve seen in a while by England and Tuchel. He really thought “let’s park the bus, play deep, give Messi more of the ball and let him cross 27 times into the box.”

I've been in attendance at the Argentina knock-out games. Will be at the final on Sunday. This has arguably been the most compelling, thrilling, gripping run of victories in the history of the World Cup. You simply do not see these type of late comeback victories very frequently in elite international football (soccer, pick the term you prefer). If they can beat Spain, which is no mean feat, this will go down as the greatest international side in history. Two straight World Cups and two straight Copas. Seleccion will need to play their absolute best match to defeat Spain, who are rightfully favored. Hope Argentina can make history.

If they win Sunday, they will be the first team to repeat as world champions since 1962. Between the (potential) two consecutive world titles, they won two continental titles. Not even Pele's Brazil accomplished that feat. They will have done all of this with the same core of players (though not identical), including the best player of all time. On top of that, they have played in three of the last four WC finals.
So yes, if they win Sunday, they should be considered the greatest international side of all time. I don't think you appreciate how difficult it is to win major international tournaments.
But they have to beat Spain first, which is a staggering challenge.
Vamos vamos Argentina.

This run by an International team is Unprecedented. Even with loss Sunday, you have recognize how impressive their run has been.

This Argentina team is the second team to ever win back to back Continental Titles with a World Cup sandwiched in between: 2021 and 2024 Copa America (and also the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions{Finalissima} in 2022).
The First to do it was Spain 2008-2012. Many would argue that squad is the GOAT. That Spanish team was held in such high regard for their amazing run, a 35 game unbeaten streak (the record a the time) along with a World Cup.
The problem with that squad, and why I have to give the nod to this Argentina team over that Spain team, is the simply what each did in the next World Cup. Argentina is playing in the Final for back to back championship. The 2014 Spanish team didn't even make it out of their group.
