Gun safe questions

It’s convenient, but I don’t think it’s possible to store many guns on the front row while having guns on the door. I couldn’t tell you how many might fit, but the door and the entire back row is full with a couple on the front row. If I want to put any on the front row, I believe I’ll have to forgo putting them on the door. But it would be easy to fully fill the front and back rows up, if you don’t put any on the door.

ETA: I just checked and it’s 3 axis high capacity barrel racks (front and back row) for the 49. 13 guns each so that’s 39 long guns. You might be able to get away with a couple on the door too, I haven’t tried very hard. Those barrel racks do allow you to fit all your guns compared to the style that face each other though. The only downside is harder to reach guns in the back row.

If it ever comes to that point, I will likely leave space in the front row so I can store the scoped rifles in the spots on the door.

Sometimes two smaller safes make more sense than one big one for multiple reasons

I gutted my safe and added shelving and rifle rods. I fit way more this way then using the spacing managing stuff they come with.

Big safe + multiple small safes is the way to go.

ETA: If you don’t plan on moving a lot

I can echo the gun rods. I went that route in my safe and probably increased capacity by 30%. Easy to set up and use.
