CV boot replacement on SxS

Watch a video on it to get a feel if you’re confident in doing it yourself. It is easier and way less mess to just get a replacement shaft but about 4x the cost of a boot kit. Inboard joints are easier because the whole shaft doesn’t have to come apart like an outboard joint. They do have fast boot kits that can be replaced without disassembling the shaft but you have to have the tool to do it. Personally I don’t care for those boots, though. They’re thin imo. I want to say the moose boot kits have been oem quality if I recall.

I’ve done it a couple times. YouTube videos guided me. I can do it without now.

Where you located? It’s not a bad job at all. You’ll be surprised once you do it how easy it is.

Also I recommend replace the whole shaft. Changing just the boot is more work and not much cost savings.
