Hope everyone is doing well this weekend . Figured it's about time to start up the turkey day travel thread for those headed around the country. Where's everyone headed?

This year I'm staying in the PNW for the week. Dad wanted me to go visit the grandparents but flights were $600+ for a few days so we did an early thanksgiving a few weeks back.

Safe travels everyone and if you run into any flight issues, feel free to post here and I can attempt to help. Weather looks pretty good on Tuesday and Wednesday this week across much of the country, Thursday we have a front in the midwest + Dallas, Friday the front moves through the southeast + northeast. I haven't heard any updates on pilots or FA groups calling out sick during the holidays but definitely keeping an eye on it given what happened to Southwest + American over the past few months.

Headed to DFW on Tuesday to spend Thanksgiving with the family, then managed to convince them all to come to BR for the game on Saturday. Planning to host a big crab boil on Sunday before everyone returns home.

Get to the airport early y'all.. going to be a zoo in there. Just a couple weeks ago MSY was completely full up on parking and had to divert people to the remote lot down the street. Would not be surprised if this happened again. Uber/Taxi probably best.

Safe travels all

Was set to leave for DC yesterday but woke up to a 100+ fever so I had to cancel which sucked. Hotel still made me pay for the day and Delta had me pay for my upgrades still.

Gotta say I forgot about this part of travelling during the holidays. Good advice and hopefully others here follow it. Expect the worst, hope for the best

Leaving for park city on Tuesday. Doesn’t look like the slopes will be open but will enjoy the warmer weather and beautiful mountain scenery

ATL airport was definitely crazy busy yesterday but nothing that was too out of the normal.

I got through precheck in 15, wife got through regular security in 25.

working in the Boston area ... too much of a pain to see some family down south, so heading to Montreal for a long, snowy food filled weekend.

Sitting on the porch overlooking a mountainside in Blue Ridge GA right now. We used to come up here 1-2x per year but once we moved away from the area in 2012 we hadn't been back. We drove out here from BR yesterday and are spending the week up here.

I think we have different definitions of perfect weather with 38/26*F and rain/snow . Have a great time, my dad went earlier this summer and enjoyed that area a ton

Costa Rica sounds more like that perfect weather scenario

Jonesville Louisiana

Gotta say, in the 6+ years I lived in LA can't say that I visited Jonesville...

You are the one I'm most concerned for in this thread. You're still planning on heading over?

Flights are going to be full this thanksgiving, roads are likely to be busy as well. Tis the season

I've got a trip booked there first weekend of January, let us know how the snow situation is looking.

Were you originally interested in skiing or just a quick mountain trip? Looks like you get the sun for your entire visit, enjoy

26*F as a high, 17*F as a low on thursday...

Beach week sounds glorious

Glad ATL wasn't too bad, would expect it to get worse as the week continues

so heading to Montreal for a long, snowy food filled weekend.

Get some poutine to warm you up. Wonder if Mt. Tremblant has any snow yet?

Have heard of Blue Ridge GA a few times, but have nver been there. Any reason you had stopped going for the past 10ish years?
