Anyone else notice this? It's like a never ending series of errors, 'something went wrong', distorted pics, links to nowhere, etc. It's gotten so cumbersome, I don't think I can keep booking from there anymore.

How hard is this in this day and age?

Agree 100%... I complained to them about 6 months ago when it started requiring email or text code confirmation anytime you logged into your account.

Such a fricking pain in the arse.

And yes, now, anytime I try to search for hotels I get errors.

Never had an issue. The app works fine on mobile and the rate time I need to use website, it’s fine.

Maybe they are trying to force people to use that.

My gripe involves trying to access their site and set up reservations from their website on a laptop, and it just seems like the wonkiest thing imaginable.

The website has its issues, but the app is user friendly and works 'most of the time'

What are they supposed to do? Everyone has been told for years not to re-used passwords across sites. But when someone steals your password and logs into thousands of Marriott accounts to transfer points, it's going to be reported Marriott's fault. United has been forcing me to answer my security questions for years, even when the credentials are remembered, for instance.

Agreed.
Website routinely gives me grief as well when signing in. Very frustrating.

Not every fricking time from the same device...

Again, not every single time you log into your account. And security questions are fine, don't require you to go to another device/check something else and then go back.

I used SW, United, National, Marriottt, etc... websites weekly to book work trips and Marriott is the only one like this.

ETA: But yes, the app doesn't have the same issues.

Check your settings. Marriott website doesn’t do this for me. I have to log in from time to time but my password is saved and is just one more mouse click.

I book a lot of travel from my work computer and Marriott is no different that United, Hertz, Hilton, etc. for me.

What’s bullshite is I go to the homepage, mine says “Sign in, myrealname” in the top right corner. I go to sign in and use Face ID to autofill, and they still want me to confirm my identity through email. What the frick is that?

Meanwhile, I can pick up my phone, log in the same way, and have a room booked within 2 minutes.

It's great when it works. I like the functionality and layout. But it is buggy at times.

Yep.

It’s hard to find hotels listed in the exact city you’re searching for

I hate it

Made a booking for 2 adults, 2 children last week. Everywhere on the website and app confirmation says 8 adults, 2 children. Not sure how that is even possible to book a hotel room for 8 adults lol.

See, thats my issue... Started about 6 months ago. When using the website I have to get a text code every time I log in.

Via the App, nothing.

Developed by an offshore Indian tech consulting company - Sapient. What would you expect?

My neighbor's son was one of the PM's for that long project hahahah

They post incessantly on LinkedIn about how they delivered that for Marriott.... here is one bit of work they did for Marriott.
