Where to eat? What to do? Must sees?

I’m 26 and here for work but will have time to check stuff out for sure. Staying in the old town area, but want to check out anything and everything. Give me your best recommendations!

ETA: please move to the travel board that I didn’t know existed

Coronado island is neat.
Gaslamp district for bars.
Play Torrey pines. It's about $200 but likely the only time in your life you ever will but something you'll always remember.

If you’re there for work, then you need to concentrate on work. Party on your own time.

Prohibition is a good spot in Gaslamp for some brass music.

La Jolla for sure. George’s on the Cove deck for drinks and pretty good food. Ocean kayaking, snorkeling, rent bikes all in the Cove.

Pacific Beach and Mission Beach are cool towns to walk around on the boardwalk and people watch (really cement).

For a mellower beach experience try Windansea area (next to La Jolla proper).

Pizza Port in Ocean Beach has a killer draft selection.

If you like wine, Temecula (60 miles north) has a bunch of wineries.

In-n-Out
Rubio’s Coastal Grill for fish tacos.
Roberto’s Tacos (dive but excellent)
Rigobertos (same)
The Taco Shop on Pearl St. In La Jolla

Multiple weed shops if that’s your thing.

My favorite US city. Catch a Padres game. There isn’t a better ballpark experience anywhere in the MLB. Beach and bar hop at Pacific Beach. Coronado is solid. Make sure you crush as much Pliney the Elder that you can because it’s amazing and damn near impossible to find outside of SoCal. Do whatever you would normally do outside because the weather will help you enjoy it much more then being in Louisiana.
