It's way too early to tell about a week from now. My guess is your flights will be very full through IAH if everyone gets rebooked for next week.

Side note: Added frontier for their waiver. They're including tomorrow if anyone is flying on them out of Nola, Austin, San Antonio or Houston

Just checked and your southwest flights look like both inbound flights come from Love Field (flight to Birmingham) and Amarillo (flight to Nola). I'd venture to guess you'll be alright, but check back tomorrow to see if the track changed. If for some reason it does, there's an earlier flight leaving at 1pm connecting in dallas or orlando that'll get you in at 7:30pm

hopefully someone here can take a similar advantage this go-around. Lsuminati is in hawaii (1st page of this thread) heading back sunday night to houston, seems like a good candidate for a few more vacation days

Cuse, I have a 1250 flight Friday afternoon out of IAH, looks like we will be ok? I have the option of taking a flight out of here late tonight, trying to decide if I should rebook.

I have a flight Sunday on Southwest at 6 pm leaving Tampa nonstop to New Orleans. Should I be concerned about the flight being cancelled because of weather in Texas?

The inbound plane for your nola-tampa flight comes from baltimore, should be ok

Might be a dumb question, but how do you track where the plane you need to be on is coming from beforehand? That would ease my stress.

The best website is flightaware. It has problems tracking the really small planes, but for the major airlines and large planes like southwest has it's helped me countless times. What time is your flight on sunday, 10:25am or 3:45pm? The 10:25am and 3:45pm flights actually both come in from Tampa so that's a positive 3:45pm flight last sunday

went ahead and switched it to connecting through San Fran instead. Just to be safe

Sorry I missed your post yesterday, took an afternoon golf break and by the time I got back on I was trying to update the waivers. Good call on going through SFO instead of IAH, IAH is going to be swamped tomorrow. Also just a fyi your flight is completely empty to SFO, you can grab a whole row to yourself in economy + or even in the back...

Connecting through DFW tomorrow, and it looks like the plane is starting tomorrow morning in McAllen, Tx. My flight isn't until 1, do you think any delays will be accounted for by then?

What are your flights? MSY-DFW-XXX? McAllen is going to be close to the hurricane, but American could very easily just change the inbound plane at DFW to another one to avoid delays. That's the benefit of the hub being in DFW

Good to know. It is the 10:25am one. I'll definitely save that site for future reference.
