Please post your travel related concerns about Harvey in here. I will do my best to keep everyone updated on weather waivers for the airlines. As of current, American, Southwest, Frontier, Spirit, Jetblue, United and Delta have waivers posted, I have them listed below. If you have questions please ask in here and I'll do my best to help you out .

8/31 10:00am Update: Houston Hobby is only partially open for operations on Delta, everything on southwest is not operating until Saturday noon. The Bush Airport has reopened and United appears to be operating several flights to their hubs today and tomorrow. Most of the flights on small planes (E145s, E170s) to Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, etc. have been cancelled through Saturday. If you need help finding if your flight is cancelled, reply to the thread and I can check expertflyer. If it has been cancelled, you are free to get a refund (goodfor those of you that were planning on going to Houston for the game). It looks like Delta is operating most of their flights into/out of IAH today so if your united flight is cancelled, see about rebooking on Delta. Baton Rouge, New Orleans and LA airports are included in the waivers now on all of the major airlines. The travel waivers are now through September 7th on AA or Delta and September 12th on United.

Sigh. This kind of thing tends to affect everyone regardless if the storm is coming their way. Flying out of MSY Sunday and just praying I don't have yet ANOTHER day of sitting around an airport waiting on delayed planes to arrive. It's all I seem to do when I travel lately.

Not United. Southwest. To LAX. Nonstop.

The flight/route isn't so much my concern as is a plane being there when I arrive, like the poster above said. Hard when so many planes come from Houston. It is a work trip where I have 13 meetings squeezed into 5 days, so I really don't have the room to be flexible.

Cuse, in Hawaii right now and flying United back into Houston around 11:00 PM on 8/27. You think we'll be impacted?

My guess is you'll be impacted, forecast does not look good for anywhere between 72-120 hours which is sat afternoon - mon afternoon. Image below is from 1pm Central time so at 96 hours, the storm is more than likely over houston or to the southwest, meaning all the rainwind will be to the northeast of the center and it won't be good. I don't want to tell you to rebook because potentially your flight could be fine, but the track is very uncertain right now.

Going from NOLA to Dallas Friday afternoon, and Dallas back to NOLA Sunday afternoon. Do you foresee any issues there?

Your inbound will have to get here from IAH on sunday night. As of right now, the track is unknown. If united posts a waiver, you may want to fly MSY-ORD/IAD/EWR-BOS on Sunday if possible to avoid IAH

Nope, only potential problem I could see is friday if the storm moves faster than anticipated and your inbound flight comes from houston-nola. Even still, chances of a problem are extremely low. Keep an eye on the track for sunday

I'm flying DFW to Corpus on Monday morning on American. While it looks like Harvey will likely be out of there by then, you never know and if it's bad, I don't want to fly into a bunch of flooding either.

AA is waiving change fees up through Aug 27 right now, so I'll wait and see if they include the 28th at some point.

Cuse, What do you think about the following?

1. Flight from TPA expected to arrive at IAH at 1pm Friday

2. Flight out of IAH at 6pm Sunday

You will probably get in before the major part of the storm hits, id actually be more worried about sunday depending on how much flooding houston gets
