Trying to take the family on a beach trip at an all-inclusive in a location that used to be reasonably affordable and the prices are outrageous.

Beach trip, 6 people (3 adults, 2 kids, and a baby), all-inclusive, including a short (< 2 hrs) flight.

How much are you willing to pay?

Do you live in Miami or San Juan?

After several family vacations I’ve determined these little f’ers don’t deserve nice things. Better to spend that kinda cash for a badass trip for just me and the lady

You paying all inclusive prices for 3 kids under 10 (assumption)?

Just hold off booking for 4-5 months and prices will drop after recession hits. It's coming.

About to drop $15K on a Europe trip. That's my limit.

If you are going for a week, you are looking at $6-7k. That’s why I refuse to spend money on that shite.

Yeah, the broad question of how much I'm willing to spend on vacation is wildly variable.

The question of how much I would spend on THAT vacation is missing several key pieces of information.

I'm curious how this is working out. MFM or FMF? Are you Mormon or is this more trailer park trashy? Based on the kids ratio I'm betting the latter.

I hate paying for vacations, I’d rather just go hunt.

My wife, on the other hand, has absolutely no limit on what she will pay.

If it's just me and the wife, 4k total on an all inclusive Mexican vacation is about the most I'm willing to spend.

True. I’ve found that driving 3 or 4 hours for a chilled out long weekend in nice hotels, and wining, dining, and 69’ing the wife to be much more enjoyable than loading up the kid and car, then driving 8 hours to work and overspend my arse off for a week to keep everybody sane.

If you have to pack more than a duffel bag, it damn near isn’t worth it to me.
