I'm an underachiever on this board: just 10, but it's because I keep going back to explore the same countries in greater depth or regional variations.

Thailand (late 80's) pre Tsunami

New Zealand (before the California invasion...late 90's or early 2000's)

The Czech Republic (before it became overrun with touristy shite)

Israel in the 80's (pre-Intifadas)

Fiji in the early 2000's (Beqa Lagoon was a great dive site).

I also like Ireland and Italy. Ireland can be quite beautiful in spite of the weather and Italy is also a favorite
(I don't mind the issues).

Turkey was cool, the Greek Isles off the beaten path too.

Morocco was cool, but that was in the 80's.

Most countries in the Alps.

Those are off the top of my head.

That's 22. I will be visiting China in November for sure. I hope to visit a South American country in December, as it's the only continent I haven't been to. I am going to Kenya and Tanzania in March.

My international travel is respectable, but I think my domestic travel is a little more extensive. I have been to all 50 states (most multiple times) and there are very few major cities or significant locations I haven't been to at this point.

That list I downloaded didn't include the Vatican as a country although it is a country and the smallest in the world. I personally didn't include layovers where I never actually got to see the country. Amsterdam is a great example.
Flown through it many times. Never got to see the country or the city. Would like to visit the Netherlands for a day or two at least on the next layover.

I'm currently trying to make this happen for myself on a trip to UAE. It looks really easy to get into town from Schiphol. Now just trying to pick a long layover from options.

34 countries (including the U.S.) I don’t plan on adding many (perhaps any) in the next few years. My husband and I have been to all 50 states, but we’re currently revisiting them with our daughter. Goal is to take her to at least the Lower 48, if not all 50, by the time she finishes high school. 41 down . . . working on the rest.
