And some city folk have a similar, retarded view of rural America. It’s honestly funny.

It won't miss you. It doesn't miss anybody. It will never even know you existed. The greatest thing about it is the people you might run into from every corner of the earth and what you might experience on any given day. But it is populated by millions of people that are like you...just so you know. Manhattan is just one borough and Times Square, Lincoln Center, and Rockefeller Center and Central Park are just a drop in the bucket for tourists and local workers. There are millions of working class regular joes that are good people just trying to get along and live a life. But I can't tell you anything new... you've seen the pictures.

Seems to me that aside from a money grab, they want to turn the NYC streets into a kind of Country Club for people with more money.

At the same time, they do all sorts of things to make traffic flow more difficult.

My god, something in you frickers is broken. You let media portrayals of places completely dominate your perspective. FWIW, NYC has a crime rate that is lower than the national average last time I looked, and the national average has been trending downward for a long time.

Bro, there's literally (as in the literal meaning of the word literally) a poster in this very thread saying that he would never go there.

So what? That's his choice, isn't it? The city ain't what it used to be.

If you want to use the word literally, then let's do that. You claimed that only a few posters, which is three or four, have ever been to NYC. Did you mean that literally, or was it just condescending hyperbole? You also said that only a couple people have driven in Midtown Manhattan. Counting myself, do you literally believe only one other person has driven in NYC?

You're doing your usual thing, which is looking down your nose at other people like an a-hole. You live in NYC. So what, it doesn't make you special.

$25 bucks a day just to drive into the city is ridiculous. Yeah, let's tax the frick out of the poor and middle class some more. That will really improve things.

“Americans will have to pay $23 per day”

It is NY so I’m guessing non-citizens go drive in these zones for free?

You are basing an entire city based on media portrayals.

No I'm basing it the posters in this thread that can not fathom the idea that someone would not awed and impressed with the same things they are.

NYC is a great city to visit
LA sucks especially LA proper. I lived out there for a bit and all the actually cool stuff is outside of “LA”

San Diego is incredible.

No I must view all the activities I consider doing and places I might visit through my political spectrum to decide if I will actually do them or visit said place.

This thread is about some measures meant to make nyc a less obscenely loud, congested, dangerous, dystopian hellscape lol.

A lot of yall are still against it

tOT: Cities are a fricking nightmare. So congested, dirty, cramped etc

“Ok let’s create a small handful of spaces that heavily disincentivize car usage in those spaces and see how it goes. It’s worked very well in other parts of the world to rejuvenate and redevelop urban areas and provides for WAY more space to operate for individuals”

tOT: No frick that liberal nonsense.

Lived right outside of LA for 3 years. Met great people and we only very rarely discussed politics. No one cared that I leaned right.

Having been in NYC for decades, I know that trick. They just don't charge for crimes that in Giuliani's day would have had them on Ryker's Island for months before trial.

I really enjoy visiting there.

They just keep doing stupid stuff that makes it difficult to want to return. Cool arse city though with great food.

In my experience San Diego is not like the others (except Los Angeles and San Diego weather are almost identical).
