Got here late last night, here as one of the kids is marching in a parade Thursday.

Spent time today in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. Biggest rides all have over 2 hour wait,

I hate Genie+ with an absolute passion and I hate it even more now that it has variable pricing. But if you don’t buy it you spend all day in lines.

Staffing levels seem very good which was nice to see. Food prices have skyrocketed and quality way down.

Only sit down meal of trip is thanksgiving dinner at Chef Mickey… will see how that goes.

Where have you been? Crowds have been back for well over 18 months.

Yes, Genie+ sucks!

Thank god my kids prefer universal now.

These crowds are nothing new. Once they opened up after Covid it was game on again.

Genie+ is horrible and I refuse to buy it. It was almost $30 a person the other day. I just do what has short wait times since we come a lot. This is our last planned trip until they either fix (get rid of) Genie+ and all the nickel and diming. At the very least bring back annual passes. I may not mind spending some money if I didn’t have to buy park tickets every single trip.

I've made my trips to Disney with the kids several times and even went for a few work conference events.

Next year my wife and kids along with extended family are all going during mardi gras week(which falls during Presidents Day week). My kids are older now so I had no problem declining on this trip. I'm headed to the mountains or something.

Being at Disney with large crowds is bad enough, but trying to make with work with a group of 12 family members is the stuff of nightmares.

I haven't taken my kids yet but I'm like 90% sure I'm going to grab whoever I can to fill the $4,000 10 person VIP tour thing and just skip all the stress and planning of this bullshite.

Someone may have to talk me out of it.

Unfortunately it’s the only way we will do it now. The good part is you can do every ride in all 4 parks in two days. The bad part is you’re just rushing through and don’t really get to enjoy the parks.

My kids are at the age where they prefer universal rides over Disney, but the parks are not on the same level when it comes to atmosphere…..although Disney is slowly losing that aspect as well.

To me what still sets Disney apart is the resort aspect. Not just one specific resort and not necessarily just resort guests but the entire resort as a whole. If it's just rides we are looking for then we opt for Universal or Disneyland.

Our WDW trips are focused less on the parks and individual attractions from a quantity standpoint. Our success isn't necessarily how many rides we do but did we do the ones we really wanted to do with the least amount of waiting as possible then we fill in alot of the other gaps with down time in the parks, shows, resort hopping, monorail crawls, skyliner resort stops, Disney Springs, golf, etc.

Had a buddy only do 4 rides at Hollywood Studios this week. That was with skipping lunch and standing in line all day.

Hopefully Iger will change some of that shite

Hollywood is the worst, there are no "short" lines there and there are not many rides there in general so the wait times balloon

You can hit one ride at rope drop by the time you get out everything is 60+ minutes by 830am

Got back home tonight and overall, crowds weren’t as horrible as I expected. We always go during holidays so I have seen bad crowds before. Magic Kingdom busy, we were there Thanksgiving day so it was expected. But even then the waits weren’t too bad. If we had Fast Pass back we would have done everything and some of the big things multiple times. EPCOT got pretty busy yesterday but it was the first day of their Holiday Festival. The food booths kind of disappointed, to be honest. Didn’t see much that I was excited to try.

The longest line I waited in was this morning. Got to Disney Springs right at 10 and waited an hour and a half for cookies at Gideons. Worth every minute.

Did this at Dollywood this week and it was miserable. Ive never seen so many people in my life. Didnt ride a single ride the whole day.

Ill choose being out in nature any day of the week.

Genie+ and the reservations system killed it for me.
... down to one trip a year now.
