Things are looking good for New Years Day. We just got a really good overnight dump and it's still going. This storm track is favoring northern Colorado which is great for Steamboat.

We opened Morningside yesterday and should be getting close on Sunshine/Sundown area of the mountain.

Today was a bonafide powder day. Super light fluffy champagne powder. Got first gondola and 2nd chair on Storm Peak. First lap was a dream, then it got chewed up pretty fast on the limited terrain. We're getting super close to having a lot of trails and off-piste stuff open.

Steamboat looks to be making out the best on this storm cycle. Hopefully we get some goods over here in RMNP so i can hit the Backcountry and make the first turns of the season

Headed to park city for Mardi Gras and in March. It has been REALLY thin there so far. Looks to be snowing quite a bit the last 24-48 hours though. Anyone know long range forecast for Utah?

Got some friends who want us to visit them in North Carolina. Is sugar mountain worth going from Dec 29 to jan 1? Or is it just way too crowded? I have no idea what to expect with a place like that so any insight would be appreciated.

We are headed to keystone next Sunday. Looks like the last few days have helped but wish they could get a little more this week. Looks like tomorrow is best chance for a while ?

Tonight and tomorrow will be really helpful after yesterday's snowfall. Looks like wind will be drawing out of the west, which ought to give Keystone another solid 4"+.

Might not open all the runs but it's going to be better than the man-made stuff everyone has been skiing on for the majority of last week.

Anybody going to be in the summit county area the weekend of January 19th? We have a nice spot and are going to throw down for my birthday and Motet playing. All are welcome to join

Anyone see this rescue of about 150 skiers stuck on a gondola in France today? No thanks... Always wondered how they got people out of gondola cars that were stuck LINK

Looks like Summit County was on Santa's good list this year.

Overnight to current have reports approaching 10" of snow in some places. This is just what they needed heading into their super busy week.

Around 15” of new snow in Breckenridge since midnight. That should set up a strong base for a good bit of new terrain to open

Wow. Great weekend at Steamboat. Last night was the icing on the cake. Started at 1am and it snowed hard until like 9am. We had a foot plus in town. Mid-mountain and lower mountain ski'd like a dream this morning.

It's Absolutely nuked on us. We went from nothing to full winter mode in town. Couple hours of driveway shoveling the past two days. Nothing like neighbors shoveling driveways together on Christmas. Mountain town living at its best.

Added to an already impressive snow total for the weekend. Have to be near 40-50". A Christmas miracle! Have a great day everyone!

Ski the other side of the Wasatch. Alta, Snowbird, Solitude & Brighton. Solitude if you want to not able to ski by lunch. We get 550" of snowfall in a bad year because of the lake effect. Lower elevation and different weather pattern makes PCMR, DV and Canyons not as good. But skiing is like pizza in Utah, even when its bad its good.

For future trips, Utah historically gets bombed with snow in early March (again because of the lake effect), at least at the SLC resorts. It's usually cheaper - flights, accommodations, etc... - warmer weather and usually fantastic snow.

This storm cycle was much needed and looks to have opened up a lot more terrain.

I got the first turns of the year in the RMNP backcountry yesterday and it was amazing
