Can someone suggest a new addon for Kodi? Exodus is no longer working for me.

Odd. Mine has been flawless as far as pic quality goes.

For those with PS Vue how does the DVR work? From what I understand when you add a show to your favorites it adds it to your cloud DVR. Does it make every episode that airs available or can you set it to only make first aired episodes available?

I think it depends. Some shows will have an on demand option so you would get all prior episodes. When you set it to DVR it will automatically start recording all new episodes. It will label the episode as "NEW" if you haven't watched it.

Do any of y'all use a VPN service for KODI? If so, which one do you use?

I dont use it for Kodi often, more to get around the content blockers at work, but ExpressVPN work great.

so i've been browsing this thread for awhile now and feel overwhelmed
.. can someone help me? i feel like there are so many options, i'm not sure what to go with. we are having our house completely renovated at the moment so i figured now would be a good time to switch so i can run cables if i need to
my household viewing priorities:
obviously live sports (LSU, Saints)
AMC (walking dead - i'd like to be able to watch this live to avoid spoilers)
HGTV
Lifetime
Disney Channel
Nick Jr.
what is my best option? i'm honestly lost. i don't want to be stuck paying $150+ for internet and TV if I don't have to
also, will i need to have a smart TV? i have a nice 55" but it's a few years old
TIA to anyone and everyone who offers some advice

Look into streaming packages with SlingTV or DirecTV Now. The basic package may only have EPSN and ESPN 2. All of the other channels you listed should be on the basic package.

No, you can use a Roku or similar device to plug into an HDMI port. Many of these only cost about $30-40, but Apple TV can cost up to $150+ each. Connect the device to Wifi and start streaming. There is a little more leg work with setting up each Channel's App using your password for your streaming service, but just do it as you need it.

Do you recommend 50 or 100mbps?
Posted on 7/7/17 at 4:23 pm to Mr. Hangover
50 was more than adequate for me. Netflix recommends a minimum of 5 for HD streaming, but actual speeds on a plan that low will not be good.

I have cox and made the call today. They gave me a deal to keep my internet at 50MB, local channels and 30 minutes out bound calls for $101. Setup Amazon Fire streaming with PS vue and couldn't be happier.
They screwed you. Kept local channels and have 150mbps for 97 bucks. It felt nice to claw back at least some of my money from cox.

Currently paying $130 a month for Directv. I have an old Roku 1 I really like and just recently discovered the world of IPTV. I was gonna go with a new PS4 and use VUE until the increase came out on friday. Instead I upgraded to a Roku Premiere Plus and bought a Fire Stick since its Amazon Prime Days. I have been looking into paid IPTV services and I came across SET TV (LINK /). It looks legit for $20 a month. Has anyone tried it?

That looks really good. I just got rid of directv and am looking to get some type of option like this. 500 channels for 20 bucks a month is not bad at all. Most of it HD too.

Sounds very interesting. So most HD streams?
Noticed no SEC Network or ESPNU which I would use.

Those seem a bit shady. Legal in the US?

Don't know if it's been posted in here, but AT&T actually confirmed a massive overhaul of DTVN, Cloud DVR, and an eventual unification of experiences across all their platforms.

Other sites have posted screenshots that seem to indicated 100 hours of DVR for beta testers. Beta invites are supposed to go out soon, with an anticipated roll-out in the fall.
