I've got a Beam (gen 1) and a Playbase and they're both great. Especially if you already have sonos stuff or are wanting to get into whole home audio.

Beams are pretty solid for average size living rooms but may look small under the massive TVs out there these days.

I’ve got two old school Playbars. They sound great. Combine them with a couple Play:1s as surround sound speakers and a subwoofer and it’s quite the system.

I have an Arc with the gen 3 sub and too in-ceiling rears tied to a Sonos amp. It sounds amazing. You really need the sub with the soundbar though IMO. Takes it to a whole different level. Allows the soundbar to focus on the mids more.

I’ve got an arc and sub in living room. It’s the best sound bar set up I tried by far and it’s easy for my family to use. But in now way does it compete with a quality old school wired set up.

I have a arc + 2 sub + rears in my living room and a beam v2 + rears in my bedroom.

the following is true of Sonos:
1. it's easy to use
2. sounds damn good (for a soundbar)
3. very expensive relative to the competition and thus arguably a poor value
4. the arc on it's own is mediocre, and a truly terrible value. do not buy the arc unless you plan on getting a sub and/or surround speakers

sonos is great, but it's overpriced (similar to apple products). even on the Sonos reddit page they'll tell you don't get an Arc unless you intend to go all in with the Sonos ecosystem (ie. speakers in other rooms). If not, you really get far better bang for your buck elsewhere.

I have Beam 1st generation and Beam 2nd generation. I also have the Sonos ARC (this is "needed" if you have a big TV - 65" or bigger - as the Beam will look and feel too small).

Simplistic to use. Is it the best sounding? No. I also have Kef speakers and a Marantz AV receiver that are better.

But it's real easy to use and it makes Apple Airplay a breeze. And no wires!

I bought a playbar years ago. Its nice. I don't think it's worth the money personally. if you are going to build out a whole home audio solution it would make it more worth it.

Just my opinion.

I have the original play bar and 2 ones, along with some other Sonos stuff

I don't even have the sub and it's a pretty strong setup IMO. I'm obviously not a surround sound purist so ymmv

This is a must. I bought the beam first, and I was underwhelmed at best, but added the mini sub in december and it makes a HUGE difference. TV and music sound awesome now

I went all in on the 5th Gen Amazon Echo and the Amazon echo SUB. The subwoofer was flat out amazing. I ended up returning. Pairing with Amazon Cube or Apple TV sucked. Anyway, I am super curious about SONOS.

If you were impressed by the Echo Sub, you'll be very happy with Sonos. The Echo Sub is downright anemic, and will make anything seem robust.

I have an Arc with Gen 3 Sub and 2 One SLs. It's not going to get you audiophile-quality sound, but 98% of people don't even know what that is. I got this particular setup because it was 20% off on Sonos' website and I also had a "12% back on Sonos" offer from Capital One Offers, so it was too good a deal to pass up. Super easy to set up, very intuitive, great ease of use. Just make sure your TV has a an eARC port

Make sure you get the sub with it as well. Makes a world of difference

I have the OG Playbar, the OG sub and 2 OG Play:1s as my rear channels. It seems pretty good but I wish Apple would jump into the game.

I could imagine some HomePod mini’s as rears, HomePod’s as R/L/C and then a new sub would sound good. Or just make a new sound bar and sub combo or something, who knows.

I don’t imagine getting the newer Arc is a big upgrade over the OG Playbar, right?

I have the playbar +sub and Arc + sub with One S for surrounds. The Arc is a noticeable upgrade for movies but has been a step backwards for music. The Arc is definitely clearer but just doesn't sound as good for the type of music my wife and I like (metal).

Yea, my kids, wife and I listen to music so much, I'm tempted to just put the new HomePod v2's in our living room. It's such overkill to have my Sonos setup + 2 HomePods in the same room though.

Just wish Apple would go all in and make something like what Sonos is doing.

Got the Arc + Ikea Symfonisk lamps (x2) among others in our Sonos collection.

We just got a Beam for our bedroom TV and it's fantastic.

Piggybacking off of this some for the Sonos crew. My question is, we currently have:
Sonos Playbar OG
Sonos sub OG
2x rear Sonos 1 OGs

Is it worth it to upgrade the Playbar to the Arc and to swap out the OG Sonos 1 rears for say the new 360 in the rears?
I've heard that you'll get simulated Dolby with that setup but not sure that's worth the cost.
