Samsung still putting unnecessary apps which will ultimately compromise performance. Same song and dance.

I think they have scaled those back big time in recent versions, haven't seen many complaints.
Root takes care of them anyways.

Nah, not really.
Samsung can be a bit trickier with Knox but it was still really easy on my Tab.

Why doesn't the G6 get any love around here? Getting mine tomorrow.

Touchwiz is gone for the S8/+
uhhh I was basically ignoring this phone and waiting for the next Google offering but now I'm interested

It is still Samsung software. Just because they aren't calling it Touchwiz doesn't mean it's not the same idea. I have also read where the software is starting to look better than the old Touchwiz but still lacks in performance. See tweets below and read through what he said.

Also the bezels aren’t even really that much smaller cause you … just replaced the bottom bezel with software keys.
I can't take someone that tweeted that seriously. Consumer have been asking for bezel-less phones for a while now....Samsung has come to closest to delivering that so far with this phone.
ETA His love for the Pixel is kind of weird. It has been hailed as one of the worst designed phones...granted with the best software experience but still...it isn't God's gift to the cell phone world. It isn't any better than my Nexus 6P after it got Nougat.

There is absolutely 0 reason to upgrade from the Nexus 6P to the Pixel.

The camera and that's not even trying.
It's not worth it to you to upgrade is what you are trying to say.

That phone will fit right in my pocket

Posted on 3/30/17 at 1:45 am to Hammertime

It's smaller than a Pixel XL, LG G6, HTC Ultra, iP7+. The Pixel XL is actually a LOT bigger than the S8 thanks to its hideous bezels and physical home button from 2010 despite having a smaller screen.
A 5.8" screen doesn't mean the phone is big if it's all screen no bezel and no home button, not rocket science.
