Mine is not as good as my 4XL, but tough to explain why because I simply lack the knowledge. Bluetooth has been great though.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Pixel 6 vs Galaxy S21? I'm upgrading from s8 and still on the fence between the 2.

Waiting on my pixel 6, S21 is a great phone but I would not get one based on it's so close to the S22 coming out.

Don't know what happened with your order but I got the one I preordered for the wife on Monday. I ordered it through T-Mobile. She loves it over her V60 except she misses the bigger size screen on the v60. May up her to the 6 pro.

Came across a new feature on mine today. Called BLue cross insurance and the phone somehow transcribes everything the automated systems say into text as it's talking. Instead of listening on speaker or bringing phone up and down to ear it's like having subtitles. Not sure if this is pixel specific but it worked perfectly.

In screen fingerprint reader sucks compared to the one on my OnePlus 7 pro. Maybe it doesn't like the screen protector on my phone.

If you have a screen protector you need to redo the fingerprints after you increase the touch sensitivity. Still need to press a little harder than without the protector, but it works

I returned my 6 Pro today. I had pre-ordered the device through Verizon and used it for 5 days. There were way too many issues with the phone:
1. The fingerprint sensor is garbage.
2. The phone charges slowly.
3. The screen flickered and lit up unevenly after scanning my fingerprint. Like a shockwave effect starting at the bottom of the screen, slowly lighting up toward the top.
4. Took too long for a Bluetooth connection in my car. About 90 seconds.
It's disappointing, because the phone looks awesome on it's surface. At the price point there were just too many problems for me to accept.

I also returned my 6 Pro last week because of the inconsistent fingerprint reader and Bluetooth connectivity issues.

Damn, sad to hear even from an iPhone user. I was tempted to switch. The fingerprint issue seems like a hardware problem so not fixable by software pushes, sadly. The other stuff is all probably the new OS and fixable

Web pages readjust after a second. Causes me to tap the wrong link. What is that?

You just have to make sure you have you finger in the right place. My old phone had a fingerprint reader on the back. It used a physical cavity so it was easy to get your finger into the right spot.
With the Pixel 6, it's on the front screen and no physical guide to help you. So you have to pay a little more attention to placement. I'd say I unlock my phone on the first try 90% of the time. I've found it helps to register multiple fingers (both index and thumbs) so you can use whatever is free at the moment.
Supposedly face unlock is coming, so that could bypass the the fingerprint. Though not sure I'd use it.

Jeez that is disappointing, I may just cancel my order all together if it has that many issues still waiting on my pre order to ship.

I'll be setting up my 6 in a few days. On paper, there may not be a better value for a phone. I had the original Pixel and have not been so excited for a Pixel phone since. I'm on a Samsung S10E right now so the size difference will be an adjustment. I prefer a smaller phone but accepting defeat.

Just my two cents. We just got two Pixel 6s about 10 days ago. They are fantastic phones and we are not having these issues. These phones are very fast and capable with great looking screens.
The fingerprint reader has worked great for both my wife and I. It has memory for up to 5 fingerprints. If for some reason there is an issue, just redo the finger or thumbprint. The only issues we have had with the fingerprint reader is primarily if you put your finger or thumb down too quickly. You learn any quirkiness of the finger print reader pretty quickly. I really do not see it as an issue at all. It's an optical reader so you do see a white light when you press down. I wouldn't pay hundreds of dollars more for a better fingerprint reader, but I suppose some people would.
The Bluetooth connects super quickly for us, basically instantly. We connected our phones to both our cars, three bluetooth speakers and some headphones and earbuds with no problem.
They work great and all set up very quickly.
Charging is just mediocre. We did buy some PD 30 watt chargers. I haven't timed them, but they charge the phones from about 30% to full charge in maybe an hour. Maybe a little longer. Seems like the phones say full charge will be in about 1 hour and 30 minutes but then they charge faster. I could be wrong.
I really should time it.
My only complaints with the Pixel 6 include the battery life which isn't bad, but could be better. I use my phone probably 3 hours of active screen time a day and have charged it just once daily and it's down to an average of 30%. I guess I was hoping for longer battery life. It works fine for us. Perhaps Google will improve battery life with future firmware updates
My other complaint is that to turn Wifi on and off, it takes an extra click to get to the Wifi on/off slider. But we have 5G unlimited plans so we don't use Wifi hardly at all.
Things that are great with this phone are 1) Search all function on the apps screen, 2) Exceptional voice to text, 3) Voice and text translator, 4) Camera quality and features like Magic eraser, 5) You can tell when any app is using your camera or recording audio and you can identify the app.
We don't use all of the fancy screen theme capabilities or the analog clocks etc. These are the best phones we've had by far but we have never had high end phones like the best iPhone or Samsung S21, etc. I can't compare the Pixel 6 to the Samsung S21 or iPhone 13. They might be better, but the Pixel 6 is fantastic, plenty good for us, and I bet a better value for what you get.
I highly recommend the Pixel 6. The Pixel 6 Pro is even better with a bigger screen, more memory and better selfie camera and a 4x optical zoom, etc.
Edit: We bought our Pixel 6s at an AT&T store and paid $739.99, over a 36 month installment plan with a $200 discount provided incrementally over 36 months. Reason we paid more was to get these phones with both the Sub 6 and 5mm wave antennas. In 60 days we can get AT&T to unlock the phones, and then switch to T Mobile who has a much better 5G plan, plus they will pay off phones on another carrier's network up to $1000 for each phone if you switch. So we will let T Mobile pay for both of our phones in a couple of months.

That's why I don't want it. The horizontal camera that stretches all the way across the back looks awful. I don't see what was wrong with the previous camera cutout that was nicely tucked away in the top corner. It looks much more attractive.

This is going to be a huge experiment for me. I ordered the Pixel 6 on Sunday. I've followed iPhone rumors since before it was officially announced, had the OG iPhone and have bought new iPhones pretty much every other year since then, until around the time they got rid of TouchID, I kind of lost my enthusiasm for mobile phones around that time. I'm more than 14 years entrenched in the iOS platform at this point.
I just don't get very excited for mobile phones anymore and everything seems "good enough" these days. My wife's into photography and has dedicated equipment for that, so I don't need yet another lens built into the phone, 4G LTE is plenty fast enough for me and I doubt I'd even notice 5G, etc.. so I'm going to give Android a shot as a daily driver phone. I'm setting up a second phone line and will run with both an iPhone 12 mini and the Pixel 6 for a few months. I'm not completely new to Android (I have a Shield TV and casually tinkered with a couple tablets over the years) but this'll be the first time really getting into it.
I especially want to get LineageOS/microG or CalyxOS on it as soon as builds are available for the Pixel 6. Not needing the latest and greatest features means free/open platforms become a hell of a lot more viable. And I bet this will integrate more nicely with my main machine being a Gentoo Linux box.

once the newness of the phone/os wears off

But my intention is to see it through one way or another, as this is ultimately part of a broader move to end/reduce dependence on platforms that serve big tech more than they serve me. I'm willing to make concessions and put effort into workarounds to do that, and chose this model specifically for the unlockable/relockable bootloader and strong (soon) support among alternative operating systems like Lineage, Copperhead, Graphene, or Calyx.
One of those concessions will have to be setting up my old MacBook Pro as an iMessage relay server as well.

Never buy a release day Pixel. Always wait a couple months until they get the bugs worked out. I've said it many times. The first batch always has a lot of duds. The second batch is where it's at. If you must have one from the first batch, always wait until Black Friday.
