Pandora is better simply for the thumbs up/down situation.

We have Spotify Family Premium and are happy with it. Haven't used Pandora in a good many years to compare.

We do like the Spotify Kids app (curated music based on child's age range), that is available with it.

IMO, youtube premium is the best bang for your buck. The algorithm for finding music based on a single song is really good.

That being said, Spotify/Pandora are pretty neck and neck as far as finding music.

The Sonos One added AirPlay, if I'm not mistaken. Can't you AirPlay Youtube TV?

No, I don't like it versus actual in-app integration, but it's an alternative. I elected to just buy an Echo Dot to stream podcasts to since Overcast never supported Sonos, and then just gave up and used earbuds to listen to podcasts while I'm at my PC. I could have cast it to the Sonos speakers I used to have, though.

What do you mean? In the sonos app I can play from directly my youtube music library. Are you referring to something else?

Spotify for the win. Great algorithms to find new music based on your listeneng habits. I like the way its organized for podcasts, albums and playlist. Easy to make your own playlist. It's a great experience for me and the family.

Apples vs oranges IMO.
Pandora uses their music genome project to try and create a ‘radio station’ experience based on your listening preferences. It does an amazingly good job at it.
Spotify is music on demand. You want to hear the latest album by almost any artist, that’s what Spotify is for.

Both great at what they do.

Spotify has a ‘radio’ concept as well.

Yeah but Pandora starts playing the same stuff over and over even if you don't like or dislike.

i love music being fed to me based on an algorithm that pushes shite that these companies pay the least in royalties on.

really makes me feel like i'm getting quality music.
