Looking for a new phone

I've been using Samsung phones for the past couple of years, mainly the note 3 and note 4.
My note 4 is starting to act up and I'm looking to replace it. I really like the larger screen and the expandable memory, unfortunately though, the note 5 doesn't have an expandable memory option.
I'm looking at the htc m9 with the 5" screen. Anybody here have any experience with this phone? Pros and cons? TIA

Unfortunately the Note 5 is still the best phone. phonearena.com

Apple makes a swell phone.

The LG G4 is a nice phone with expandable memory and a replaceable battery. I have one and like it a lot.

I owned the LG G4.
I now own the Note 5.
The G4 was a steaming pile of garbage.
The Note 5 is head and shoulders the best phone I've ever owned.

The Nexus 6P is currently the best Android phone and the best Android phone ever made to date, but it is only sold unlocked through Google starting at $499.
Beyond that, overall critic consensus, LG G4 was rated the highest, then the Samsung phones, with the HTC One last, of the major top tier phones.
I would advise you pop into a store and actually hold and play around with each, then choose.

I just moved from the Note 4 to the Note 5. I know it has a nonremovable battery and no microSD slot, but I made AT&T give me the 64gb version, so I have more storage than I did with my old one.

LG V10 is treating me well. Big screen. Great audio quality with my in ear monitors. Removable battery and storage.

Thanks for the advice. Why is the nexus better than the g4?
I do like the 6P, thanks for pointing it out.

Nexus 6P is the best phone currently available. It's the best combination of software and hardware creating the best overall user experience. This phone checks all the boxes. Ridiculously great camera and display. Stock Android Marshmallow paired with the snapdragon 810 and 3gb if RAM makes it the fastest phone I've owned. Battery life is good can easily go past 24 hrs as the stand by time is amazing thanks to doze in Marshmallow. I usually get about 5 hrs of screen on time.

Moto X Pure can accept SD cards but the battery is not removable. I just got mine today since I dropped my Note 4 Friday afternoon. But the Note 4 has been a steaming pile of shite anyway. First thing I did on the MotoX Pure was install the Nova launcher from the play store which makes it much more customizable. The Google launcher it comes with wont let you change a lot of stuff.

What carrier?
I've had the Droid Turbo 2 for about a week, and so far...I don't know what to think.
Its laggier than my old HTC Droid DNA, despite having double the ram. I have certain apps that close consistently when used for longer than 5 minutes. The battery life is not as advertised either, its 3750 mh, and they claim 48 hrs on moderate usage. But I'm only getting around 6 hours on moderate use.
Outside of those 2 issues in particular, and I might simply have a flawed phone, I've enjoyed it. But the Nexus 6P is essentially the same thing, just without the "shatterproof" screen. Which for the record, does actually work.
I would probably pick the Nexus if I could do it over, and simply get an Otterbox.

Switched from Note 3 to Nexus 6P. Nexus blows any other phone out the water.

Meant the guts. The hardware. Not the software. frick having 48 Verizon apps you can't get rid of from the word go.
Did you forget they're both made by Motorola? I saw tons of reviews saying how similar the hardware was. But the software makes a huge difference.

The Nexus 6P is not by Motorola. That was last years Nexus 6 which was the least popular Nexus ever. The Nexus 6p is on a different level as far as hardware and the P is for premium. The design is boss compared to the Nexus 6.
Verizon does not offer the Nexus 6P you have to buy unlocked from the Google Store.

Nexus 5 = LG
Nexus 6 = Moto
Nexus 5X = LG
Nexus 6P = Huawei
I'm a proud member of the N6P master race.

Looooove this phone. As close to pure android as I've come with a manufacturers UI.

Yarp. My B. I don't know what the review I read was trying to say. Claimed the Nexus and Turbo 2 were both versions of the Play.
