Just not sure if I can pull the trigger on a refurb tv. These are great prices though.

"Fine Print" says free returns within 14 days. If something is wrong, I'll send it back.

Their system is not user friendly. I cancelled an order to add the protection plan and am having to call them back and get a rep to resubmit the order.

Scratch that. F Groupon. Customer support is telling me I can't order the product because the price is $1000 and I just created the account. He says wait 24 hours to purchase it but the deal expires in 9 hours. Ridiculous

Call again and talk to a different rep. Mine was pretty hassle free

A refurb tv is one that had an issue, got sent back, the issue was fixed and the rest of the tv was checked for any other issues.

A new tv is one that may or may not have been randomly selected by quality control for inspection. No one knows if there are any issues until you hook it up.

Buying new does not reduce you chances of getting a defective tv.

Woot has the 65 inch KS9000 for $1449.
The 9's should be a bit better than the 8's listed in the OP, but not 50% better, I'm sure.

The 9's are virtually no different actually, same exact panel and image quality. Marketing BS like 'Supreme' motion rate 240 and Dimming provide little to no actual difference in image quality.

What's wrong with buying a TV on BF? I haven't done it before but just wondering.

I ordered one but my card hasn't been charged nor have I gotten a confirmation email. It does show in "my groupons" tho.
Did any of you get a confirmation email? And I didn't see the option to purchase the protection plan.

I think all the cheap Black Friday deals are always the budget models with the lowest/minimal specs.

And these are the same folks who were in my store by June complaining about why their POS tv stopped working.

My card was charged and I received a confirmation email. Said I would receive a shipping notice when it was on the way.

If this was your first Groupon purchase, make sure they didn't ping your account for something. I had to verify my address
