If any of you are in the market for a 4K SUHD TV with HDR, you won't get better than this:

55", 60", or 65" Refurbished Samsung KS8000 - Groupon
Review
$689.99 for 55"
$939.99 for 60"
$989.99 for 65"
This is a Samsung KS8000/KS800D. They are the same tv - 800D model is a Costco/Sam's SKU that was created so other retailers couldn't price match. The 800D also has a black bezel instead of chrome.
SUHD tvs were Samsung's flagship line prior to the release of the QLEDs this year. Despite being a year old, this tv smokes all of the new models in the same price range (check rtings reviews). It is no longer in production and can be found for $1800 new, or $1450 refurb on Amazon (as of a few weeks ago). Great for sports and games thanks to the limited motion blur and the very low input lag. Nice array of inputs and smart features, great picture quality. Sound sucks, but this is 2017 - stop being poor and get a surround setup, or AT LEAST a sound bar with a sub and satts.
Includes a 90-day refurb guarantee and the option to purchase a 3-year protection plan for $80/$100 depending on size. Usually I'll pay a couple hundred bucks more for a new product, but this massive discount offsets the added risk of getting a shitty refurb, especially given the 90-day guarantee. It would really suck shipping that big motherfricker back tho. I'll take a dead pixel or 2 to save $800, I just don't want lines and shite on the screen
Buy up, baws. This deal is retarded. You'd be hard pressed to find a better tv in this price range. Only thing I'd take over this is an LG B6, but those are absurdly priced.

For these prices I can't afford not to get a 65".

Refurbished?
No thanks...I'll just drop the extra couple hundies it takes to buy new.

Id jump on this if I didn't already have a 65 in the living room. I don't think my bedroom needs a 65, I have a 55 in there now.

Wait til Black Friday for a new one and hope the price is similar or pull the trigger now ?

Nobody wants to read the thread, I guess.
They are no longer in production. Stores are selling remaining units at a Samsung-issued price of $1798.99. When they are gone (they will be by November), that's it. The newer units are widely considered inferior to this unit.

I was a Computer Sales Supervisor for BBY for 5 years while in college and I can 100% tell you DO NOT BUY A Black Friday TV.
Now the deals for the Upper Tier Televisions are where the real savings are at.
My Samsung 65 at the time retailed for 3k and I got it for 1300 after my employee/sale disc. It was in the BF add for 1600.

Not for this exact model. I mean a comparable Samsung at Black Friday--would the price still be around 2k?

Interesting. It has great reviews, dammit TD making me spend money

Eh not really.
TV manufacturers usually churn old product during Christmas.
They set out new models during Superbowl time.

Yes. Nothing will ever touch this price. The lowest I'd ever seen for a refurb was $1450 prior to this. Even if I didn't need one, I would've ordered it
Posted on 5/16/17 at 12:49 pm to Carson123987
You could order it, and sell it for $1250 easy.

So if I purchase this, then they send me a coupon that I can redeem at a store or are they actually selling the TV from their site? I've never purchased a groupon before.

Speaking of selling, if any of y'all want a 60" Samsung Plasma, hmu
Posted on 5/16/17 at 12:53 pm to SouthBendBob
Order direct from their site.
It was my first Groupon use too, had to jump through a hoop. Im sending mine to my business address which flagged my account (guess they have a lot of scams). Had to get their accounting people to remove the flag
